Monday has been yet another bitterly cold, bright day with some sunshine
Another day of DSis confining herself to upstairs - apart from a trip to sm to purchase her milk & a few bits & pieces for her lunches for the week. She also vacuumed downstairs - finally got the hint as I had taken out the vacuum cleaner a few days ago & just left it in plain sight:rotfl:
DH put together the last of the slimline filing cabinets & then did a trip to the Tip. He spent the rest of the afternoon n his office.
I have written, addressed & stamped 95% of my Christmas cards - will post by the end of the week. Also knitting & watching Christmas movies.
Dinner was lamb loin chops, mash, green beans & carrots.
4508 - 4515 Two drinks cans, 2 lots of cardboard packaging, cardboard box, glass bottle & metal cap, 2 plastic pots - Recycled
4516 Bag of kitchen detritus - Binned

Tuesday continued dry, bright, sunny & stayed warmer than recent days. DSis & I had our 3rd visit to the Chinese Medical Centre. DSis had a better experience this time & came out feeling relaxed & happy - yippee 🥳 Whilst we were out DH repaired the gear lever on his motorbike. I couldn’t be ‘arrised’ to go the sm

Back in to report two bags of Christmas decorations and a nearly new Christmas tree gone to the CS. BiL home from hospital now after coronary artery bypass.
I haven't slept so well since he has been in hospital. He is making a good recovery now so I feel I can get on with my other stuff. I have been encouraging his only family member nearby, his sister, to take some responsibility in looking after him too.
I managed to get to the allotment once this week and unusually for me, our Christmas decorations are down from the loft . I usually leave it to the last minute but I knew that there were some to go for the CS so I got ours down at the same time.
I also finished crocheting my MiL knee blanket. Just one small one to finish for one of nieces and Christmas is mostly covered.

Wednesday was another dry, bright & sunny day but slightly colder than recent days. Lazy day for all of us except DH & mine’s abortive attempt to deliver items to the CS. Everything in darkness & not a sign of a personeven the clothing CS was shut
Phoned & emailed to find out why & DH got a call back saying someone would phone Thursday & let us know opening times. Hm soup is zizzed & ready for lunches for the rest of the week. DH & I had the hm soup from the freezer for lunch & DSis had chicken nuggets. Dinner was bolognese sauce from the freezer with rigatoni from store cupboard. Enough left for tomorrow’s dinner with the addition of mozzarella - baked for 30 mins or so. Freezer emptying is progressing :rotfl:

I've been adding a few more items to the donation bag. I added some Christmas ribbon, a jumper and some new perfume I don't like. There is quite a lot of random items in that bag now.:D
I have used up a hand lotion and a body lotion. I cleaned the round jar of the body lotion and kept it as storage for small items in my chest of drawers. I don't know if other people do that. It saves buying storage boxes.:Tbit_by_bit wrote: »Back in to report two bags of Christmas decorations and a nearly new Christmas tree gone to the CS.
