Another 30 items added to the CS donation bag.
An entire shelf on the bookcase cleared as a freecycler is coming for backdated issues of Nat Geo in a couple of hours..... CD's and books done (mine at least) and just a handful being kept.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Another successful weekend on the decluttering front:
33-36: dead inhalers taken to pharmacy for disposal
37: Christmas Radio Times (think last year's lasted until Easter!)
38-47: Medium/large items to dump
48-51: old mobile phone/tablet boxes, kept "just in case" - the contents are long gone to the phone shop in the sky
52: toiletry set given to me at Christmas 2017. Box recycled, toiletries in stash for using.
Still in first week of January, so on top of the 40 items a week (so far).

Productive day today I decluttered
2 Throws to the CS
I Double Duvet set to the CS
1 Igloo cat bed that our fussy cat won't use to the CS
5 children's DVDs that someone gave me for my DGS to watch to the CS
1 Back massager that never been used to the CS
1magical Elf Door someone bought me for Xmas last year to the CS
I'm also in the middle of decuttering a large bar of Fruit and Nut Chocolate that was part of a box of 5 that my DD bought me for Xmas,I want it gone so I can get back on my diet, there are two left but I might save them for when I'm desperate for a chocolate fix:rotfl:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -
7 under bed storage bag to bin as musty and dusty
8 pile of very old used Christmas wrapping paper to bin
9 pile of plastic bags for CS .
I was under the furniture this morning, first under the bed and then when I tried to put back the tray of shoeboxes (with Shoes ) I discovered 8 and 9 wedged at the back underneath the chest of drawers. This stuff had got pushed out earlier sometime and I had never noticed!! Floor all dusted and shoes in boxes and I'm a happy declutterer.
Scarlet Ribbons - I am going to adopt your approach to CS purchases. I buy stuff thinking it is so cheap and if the item is no good to me then I say ---well I'm helping a charity.I will think more carefully in the CS and put money saved from non purchases into an imaginary jar.0 -
I’m not sure if this is the correct thread, but does anyone happen to know where I can buy cheap clear plastic shoe boxes? I have decluttered what I can but there is really no point in having my ‘going out’ shoes on the shoe rack :rotfl:0
