Another two items paid for so will be going out later on to post. Bin filled with stuff that has been kicking around too long & is just rubbish. So that is good to get rid of.
Always make a point of filling the wheelie bin up to the top if I can.

I bought some new pyjama bottoms so I cleared out the old clothes from my drawer. One was chucked as it wouldn't be bought in a charity shop.

Some of the more tatty t-shirts can go from my wardrobe to be used as pyjama tops.

I made up a bag for the charity shop, a grey waterfall cardigan that I'm getting sick of wearing, a red dress, a green t-shirt and a black jumper that I never wear.

I also put in a dress that I bought last year. It has silver detail down the sleeves and it just isn't me at all!:D

    Evening Mrs SD and all.

Well today I got rid of 2 giant bags to the charity shop and a sideboard, This is the start of the furniture cull. I find it very very difficult to let furniture go but this has now give me the virtual push to continue.

I am at present filling another bag and sorting stuff for reycling as well as chucking out.

I have not reported in - or done any proper decluttering - all week. Only just keeping on top of the basic kitchen cleaning, I have not even vacuumed anywhere. :(

BUT the Bisley multidrawer unit I ordered a few weeks ago to organise my surviving paperwork is scheduled for delivery tomorrow! :j The call centre advised that the courier will unwrap and remove all packaging, and requested that the entryway and final site are clear ....

If they could see my 'hall of shame' now ... :rotfl:

Decluttering: One scart lead and one TV aerial connector plug from a carrier bag of random leads/ cables/ wires to my ex.

Three packs of fish and seafood from the freezer into my belly. Three jars of curry or tomato sauce into my belly. Pack of lamb ribs from the freezer binned (other pack was disgusting). Freezer and kitchen cupboards are still bursting at the seams. :o

Recluttering: Added a few more leads/ cables/ wires that were kicking about in the 'hall of shame' to the carrier bag.

Deep cleaning: Used three bottles of sink and drain unblocker gel between the shallow kitchen drainer and bath plugholes. The kitchen drainer still smells faintly of mould, and still drains poorly.

This is an ongoing battle because it is badly plumbed. I should get my shiny new toolbox out and teach myself how to take it apart.

DIY project: first shelf has been primed all over. At this rate it will take years to paint my kitchen! :p

Thank you Mrs Salad Dodger for the gentle hugs, and for my third gold star. :) I gave myself a little talking to and have taken baby steps to improve my diet, because I know this affects my health problems.

Forgot to say that DSis phoned on Tuesday - very chatty & seems to be having a good visit with our DB - she is back on the 29th
Wednesday was a dry day for our day trip to Belgium to stock up on ciggies prior to Br*xit. Unfortunately no lunch as we got stuck in a couple of traffic jams due to accidents :( However we called into DH’s Dsis’s Place & she fed & watered us :D Stayed for a couple of hours, picked some huge sticks of rhubarb (DH & I are the only ones who love or even like rhubarb :p) & had a good old chinwag :rotfl: Got home after 9:00 p.m. having decluttered shedloads of pennies & ordered in so I didn’t have to cook :T Curry which is always enough for two nights so no cooking tonight either :T

Thursday has been another dry day :T DH has ‘concrete sealed’ another section of the garage floor ready for painting tomorrow. The two of us then started on the dining room crates - mostly my DSis’s stuff. Managed to dispose of 3 large cardboard boxes - contents reallocated to an empty crate & 2 bags. Another crate emptied of books which have been put on a couple of empty bookshelves in DH’s office. The empty crate, a load of wall hanging pictures (from France), a suitcase containing DSis’s wedding dress & a crate containing the ‘workings’ of the grandmother clock (from France ) are all going in the loft tomorrow :T DH has also started on the repairs to the 40 year old G-Plan table which I have reclaimed :T Once repaired it will be set up so DSis can start going through her crates & bags of paperwork & photos from France - the result of panic packing last year :rotfl: so with any luck the bulk of it will be shredded or binned ;). Please keep your fingers crossed 🤞 :shhh: We did do a sneaky declutter though - DSis has a crate full of medicines etc from France  - we went through it bagged up all the ood medicines & recycled all the packaging/instructions. The medicines have been bagged & will be dropped off at a pharmacy.
I have washed, chopped & frozen the rhubarb :T I also finished moving the furniture & vacuumed the living room. Also turned & plumped sofa cushions. Vacuumed the kitchen, hall, cloakroom & dining room. Not much decluttered outwards but every little helps :p

803 - 809 Three large cardboard boxes, empty plastic egg box, uu glass jar & metal lid, packaging - Recycled
    810 - 811 Two wire baskets - CS
812 Small bag of ood medicines to pharmacy

    Another strangely satisfying day :p

    Cheerleading starts here :D

You will make me blush no logo :blushing: Really pleased that you have incorporated this thread into your evening routine - everything that can help us in our ‘decluttering quest’ is a boon :D
Well Done on continuing to declutter :T

Oh dear amycool :( Excellent idea decanting tablets & getting rid of the packaging :T Hope the antibiotics do their job quickly & completely. You are getting a Gold Star ⭐️ for keeping on top of the daily decluttering & tidying- Well Done :T

Oceanspirit, have a Gold Star ⭐️ Reading your post lifted my spirits & I imagine it lifted parsniphead’s spirits too :D Thank you so much for putting fingers to keyboard :rotfl: & Well Done on tackling paperwork :T Also Well Done on working out what you need to do to reach your target :T

Well Done chupachups4 :T more pennies in the travel pots & you must be noticing some clear spaces :D

Well Done choille - pennies in your pot & binning rubbish as well :T. I like to fill both my Recycling Wheelie Bin & charity bags :D but I try very hard not to fill my Rubbish Wheelie Bin - after all I am trying to do my bit to save the planet ;)

Well Done Rootle :T Very satisfying to cross off a job from the ‘To Do’ list - especially one that has been hanging around for a long time :T

Well Done Wednesday2000 :T. Bringing one item in but getting rid of so many more :D Doing that will definitely make you a winner in the decluttering game :rotfl:

Gold Star ⭐️ sweetpea26 - you have got rid of a piece of furniture & have decided that you are ready to release more furniture :T The amount of space you will create will be such a joy :D Well Done on the donations to CS :T

    Still decluttering Barny1979 :T

:naughty: Fire Fox :naughty: You do realise that Deep Cleaning is only possible when actual decluttering has taken place :rotfl:

Thank you for the gold star Mrs SD, I haven't had one of those for a few decades :rotfl:

7 items into paper recycling, 2 books to CS and 1 old and damaged photo album into general rubbish.

A rellie phoned and asked me to order a book for my birthday. I thanked them and gently explained that I have too many things in my small home and would they be happy for me to borrow said book from the library instead? The answer was yes, and what could they get me as they still wanted to buy something? So I've ordered a couple of kitchen things that I really do need so money and space have both been saved and all parties happy with the outcome.

ETA birthday is not until May.

:rotfl: I never got a gold star oceanspirit and now I have two.:T:rotfl:

I did nothing yesterday as I was here, there and everywhere. I did get good news though as I've been awarded PIP which is going to keep the wolf from the door. I also have a meeting next week for a return to work plan after easter which is good. So now i want to pull my finger out and get as much done as i can before then.

I still have toys to work through. It's been a draining task but I have done better than I thought I would. I was going to carry on today until I looked around the house and realised it needed some attention. Anyway I will be off to a hospital appointment at 1.15pm so until then it's cleaning, clearing, vacuuming (boohiss) and recycling. Tonight I will continue with the big job.

    Have a fab day everyone.
