afternoon everyone, i haven't posted for a while but i've been enjoying people's inspiring stories. My DD1 has just cleared out one kitchen cupboard so lots of out of date food gone in the food waste bin, cardboard packaging into the recycling and some things binned. Hoping she'll do a second cupboard later.... We're off to the supermarket with a list which we'll stick to so we can do our meal plans and stop wasting food and money! Well done to everyone Deni xLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

Went with my daughter to a car boot sale today to continue trying to sell some of our clutter from the attic. Lovely day for a car boot, but hardly sold anything. Sold four books, a cuddly toy and a little people house. Car boot only lasted two hours but it was disappointing. Didn't manage to cover the costs from being a seller. This is probably meant for another thread, but car boot sales can be difficult to make much money, but on the flip side it was nice to spend quality dad and daughter time ☺️0

Hi everyone, pottering along here, in awe of those declittering daily! Ill prob update weekly
Two ebay sales take me to 20 , and a visit to the PDSA got rid of seven bags!, mixture of ornaments that were gathering dust, a few unused handbags. Brings me to 27 items. I think ill aim fir 365 over the year.
Next on my list is old bras, trying to decide the best place for them to go? Shops or post them?
Anywhere to recycle plastic hangers? Charity shops wouldnt accept.:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0 -

If you have a Bravissimo shop near you they will recycle bras. Sadly they aren't in many places: I'm near London so duck in to Covent Garden when I need to recycle mine!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

Bed went today so more room made. I also have some Hama heads to the nursery teacher down the road as I knew the children could use them and my son is too old for them now. The front garden looks marginally less messy after we tipped the stuff we cleared yesterday so feel pretty good.MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

I'm always on the lookout though, and any unnecessay stuff goes!! I've never regretted any of the stuff that's gone, strangely enough - don't know if anyone else has
No, I haven't ever regretted it. I have been doing boot fairs, with my mother, since my teens. (30+ years). It has always helped to keep the clutter down.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

191-202 2 plastic bottles and 10 glass jars from clearing out the spares cupboard. Now looks very tidy in there and I should get on with the marmalade!
203-204 The cup and stopper from a vacuum flask that stopped keeping water hot and was replaced under warranty - 25 years old, lovely customer service! :T:T:T
205-212 8 knitted octos for preemies finished at last! I find it really easy to knit things but take forever to sew up and finish them.
213 dog lead hook, hole drilled and put up on the wall - only taken 6 months!
214-225 11 manky apples turned into two Eves Puddings for the freezer - yay!
226-227 two old kids bins, kept for Justin but I'm getting fed up with him and his nasty hoarding habits.
228 small ironing pile done!
229-230 two bags of recycling put out.
231 fridge leftovers decluttered into lunch and supper. Am going to work through the food in the freezers as I know we don't really need four :eek::eek:
Nasty head cold lurking in my throat the last few days, so have been taking it ridiculously easy which I hope will also spur on my Kondo-mojo!
Am behind my self-imposed target of 170 things a month, so shall have to get busy next week to catch up...

i agree leelad! I find boot sales very hit and miss and only go to ones where the seller fees are low (£5) and I can go with a friend or daughter so we at least have a bit of fun and chat while we stand in a field for hours hoping people will spend 50p or maybe £1 on some of our stuff! At least you decluttered a few things....LBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021
