Went through the glass jars and sent to recycling the ones that are still too smelly after the dishwasher.
Cardboard package that cannot be upcycled into the recycling bin.
Other packaging reused - to wrap up a present.
Cardboard box - reused to send more books and DVDs.

Have also unsubscribed to some shopping sites.
E.g Lakeland, Molton Brown and white Stuff.

Have bought some feminine eco bits, so that I can reduce the clutter in my non-recycling bin.

  • Gosh Parsniphead your post made me laugh and I nearly spilt my coffee !! How high is the bed ? I now have visions of you tunneling :rotfl:.
I have found 4 baby books in good condition, that have been through 2 generations ( DD is mid 30's now  ) so they are in the cs bag.
This afternoon, as the weather is lovely, I decided to declutter a very large bush in the garden and half a forest it seems. ( not really but that's how much work I feel I've done :rotfl:. ) Only downside is that I now have an huge bag of garden waste to dispose of . Oh well baby steps :D.
Happy decluttering all. Keep up the good work :T.

:rotfl: Just regular height luckily or it would have more stuff under it.

Not much more done since my last post except general housework. It's nice to see the decluttered bits starting to join up though.

I'm going to continue with DS's room to.orrow and hopefully for the first time in my life finish something properly.

I need to get my head around eb4y again. It's been such a long time since I used it. I could do with selling some stuff to get some funds while empting the house.

Anyway time for bed. Night all zzz

  • NEWS FLASH!
The dining room table is cleared off for the first time in 6 weeks! (Well except for the red bell pepper seeds I have drying on a plate there).
Overprepare, then go with the flow.

  • I have been going through my toiletries and having a sort out.

A facial wash that doesn't suit me is going to be used up as shower gel.

I used up a face mask, facial scrub and the end of a body lotion last night.

I put some tea tree oil in a squirt bottle to use as a kitchen cleaning spray.

QUOTE=ailz95;75516539] I used to buy 8 - 10 2 litre bottles of sparkling water a week (25p Sainsbury's basics), but after buying activated charcoal I'm not drinking nearly as much. [/QUOTE]

Why does activated charcoal mean you drink less water?

Wednesday 2000, please be careful - tea tree oil isn't suitable for food preparation surfaces. https://www.poison.org/articles/2010-dec/tea-tree-oil

Well done on getting your hubby to part with the old DVD players.
I remember when last year I managed to get my hubby to part with old computer/ phone bits, what a relief it was. Four years previous when we moved into our new house, there was no way that he was going to part with them.

It was a struggle! We don't even use the one I allowed him to keep as we mostly watch things on Netflix or iPlayer these days but I'm saving the 'let's get rid of the DVDs" conversation for another day. 😁

We took another car load to the tip yesterday and the cellar is now actually usable. It needs decorating and some storage for the stuff we're keeping but it's usable again. It's a massive win! I've got a few things I need to take to charity shops or otherwise recycle over the next week or so that have come out of there so that'll keep me busy.
  • Good morning everyone :)

Apologies for my absence :( I experienced technical difficulties which the Forum team have kindly sorted out for me :T fingers crossed 🤞

This is an experimental post & if it works I will then read all your posts, report my minuscule amount of decluttering & a blanket cheerleading :D

    I have missed you all
