    Hi Dobbibill

May I join in? Several years ago due to stopping work through illness I accrued significant debts. With the help of this forum I cleared them all. What I have not properly established is savings. I manage to cover everything using my credit card at times, but clearing this. So the first step again is to establish an emergency fund. I am going to start with £1000 then move to 3 -6 fund. I would like to see a more prosperous 2022.

Of course you can join. I have allocated you #60 - welcome aboard.

Keep us updated with both the progress and challenges, we are a friendly bunch and will be cheered you on from the side-lines.

    Always keep on keeping on.

Merry Christmas to all our members, new & old.

You should be incredibly proud of all you achieved in 2021 for your emergency funds whether you added to it or it was there when you really needed it. We all keep on keeping on.

    Enjoy the festive season.

  • #55 adding £50 - I've hit my 2021 target of £5,500 for the year.
My overall goal is £7,500 but I've got a lot going on in 2022 (hopefully house purchase!) so I'm going to stick to £50 a month with a goal of adding £600 to the fund next year.

Thank you @Dobbibill for running this thread, it has been very motivational for me :)

So annoying when I look back, so determined to save well this year. This weeks I have managed to put £45.22 into the pot.x

As we come to the end of another year, can you believe it's the last day of 2021  :open_mouth:

A huge well done to everyone in this challenge, whether you have add £1 or £1000s, you've all done brilliantly.

As of today - we as a group, have saved £172,241.76 as an Emergency Fund. That is fantastic!!!  o:)

I hope you all keep on keeping on in 2022.

Happy New Year to all our members and forum users.  B)
