Hi (no 2 here)
Well just when you think the end is in sight something happens to throw you off. course Anyway central heating gone bump can't be repaired so have taken £2,500 out of the emergency money to pay towards the final bill
I know im lucky enough to have this money set aside but why oh why is there always something
Anyway im calling it a day for my savings fund now as next year im trying to pay down my mortgage again as its my final year of my fixed rate and i think its only a matter of time before interest rates start to climb
Have a great christmas and new year everyone and thank you for keeping us all updated x

Hi Dobbibill
I've needed to take £100 out of my emergency fund - it's good to have it when it's an emergency to help with an unexpected bill! So, my total needs reducing by £100 to £2033. Hope to build it back up in 2022
Thanks

Hi Dobbibill
May I join in? Several years ago due to stopping work through illness I accrued significant debts. With the help of this forum I cleared them all. What I have not properly established is savings. I manage to cover everything using my credit card at times, but clearing this. So the first step again is to establish an emergency fund. I am going to start with £1000 then move to 3 -6 fund. I would like to see a more prosperous 2022.
