Opposite of thrift - what brand do you not cheap out on?

there are a lot of brands i cant do without lol but my shopping is £60 week i do eat around 3500 caloires a day currently bulking, most meals are cooked from scratch batch cook on a sunday for the whole week, only meal i cook everyday is breakfast as i have lots of time in the morning but for the rest of the day meals all come with me

Oh god yes, I made the mistake of buying the M's version once of 'yeast extract', and it was really horrible, and pretty much unspreadable

I make most foods from scratch including pizzas, pasta sauces, chutneys and tomato ketchup. Tend to buy most of our meat from the butcher or farm.

L'occataine shampoo and conditioner and L'Or!al shampoo and conditioner.
Always ultra panty liners. Can use cheaper versions of other pad for monthly but not for the liner. Cheaper alternatives - the glue comes off onto my knickers!!!!

Not brands but we buy almost only organic fruit and veg these days. Mostly we get seasonal British through box schemes and farmers markets so they aren't much more expensive than regular stuff. If we can't go organic on something we check the "dirty dozen and clean fifteen" list online and if what we want is in the dirty dozen list we go without and find an alternative.

Also only organic milk in glass bottles (from the milkman) to make homemade yogurt. Works out half the price than shop-bought organic yogurt.

I didn’t fess up about my toiletry habit in my earlier post, I thought we were just doing household stuff (plus I’m a little ashamed:o).

I do have a terrible expensive habit for make-up, skin care & toiletries:eek:

I love L’Occtaine for the ultra rich Shea & the almond body range, love the almond shower oil especially. Love the hand creams too.

Not tried the shampoo and conditioner - are they very smelly? I like strongly fragranced ones
Love Elemis toiletries too.

For shampoo and conditioner, I like Paul Mitchell & Phillip Kingsley best.

I like Lidl own dishwasher tablets and their premium plum tomato soup. I also prefer their porridge and long grain rice to some brands. Have never found a supermarket own washing powder that I would switch to though.
