Afternoon all
Today's plans include:
Eaten breakfast that OH cooked
Cleared up kitchen
Picked up litter on pavement outside the house
Folded dry washing and put in airing cupboard, and put away airer
Put Christmas tree back outside and given it a good watering
Pegged my coat, washed yesterday, on line, but no doubt that will need to go on the airer later.
Looked hard at my 2018 spending spreadsheet and determined where savings need to be made next year.
Set up spreadsheet for 2019 and set budgets
All food from home - making macaroni cheese for dinner tonight
About to cook an oxtail stew, which once cooked, will need to cool and have the fat skimmed off it before we eat it.
Dog walk later
All done except for the oxtail stew - just got the oxtail pieces washed and dried.... and DD turned up with kids. So I had to put it back in the fridge and will do it tomorrow instead.0 -
Afternoon folks!
My one day off now (until Tuesday). A few bits to be done but I'm not going to rush round like a buffoon.- B/L/D from stores (saintly progress over Christmas! :A)- done
- No alcohol (going teetotal til NYE)- done
- Gym this morning :A - done
- Use up last bit of Bailey's cream in my coffee (sluuuurp) - done
- Make lentil and bacon soup using half of the bacon pinched from on top of the turkey - done
- Washing outside - done
- Wash on 30 deg - done
- Make a loaf. Have cut down the sugar by a 3rd because the new breadmaker seems to make a very big fluffy loaf. Lovely but crumbles as it goes stale and won't fit in the toaster :rotfl: - done
- Crochet - done

Afternoon all :hello:
Quiet day for me - I've been out tutoring but went straight there, came straight home and put my jammies back on. Unfortunately I did that before I realised one of the internal door handles was broken in the living room, beyond repair. I have reserved a new one at Screwfix but not going back out again today.
Wrote a long list of jobs to do and frogs that need dealing with and am starting on some of them today. I've finished portioning up and freezing leftovers, done masses of washing up, 2 loads of washing, attempted to tidy the living room a bit and made some financial decisions and plans for the year ahead. So it's been quite productive even though I haven't really been out and about. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

I might do this too. I feel very unsettled today and eating frogs usually helpsLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.310 -
Good evening all,
Its been another chilled day for us, the kids were happy to stay home and play with their games, we've also watched a film and last nights Worlds strongest man.
We've had a use up day , panettone (sp?) that my folks brought for xmas but didn't get eaten for our breakfast, leftover peas & bacon from yesterday for lunch and then pasta bake and leftover salad for tea.
I've washed a load on the quick 30 degree wash and got it dried on the radiators that were on anyway.
Run the dishwasher on the quick wash and emptied twice
Arranged to visit family tomorrow and we're doing it as another way to use up food, all of us are taking xmas bits and pieces to have an easy family meal & get together.
Made a batch of peanut butter and banana muffins to use up a couple of very squishy bananas
I think thats about it. Hope everyone is well.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Morning frugal pal :hello: just 2 days of 2018 left... where has the time gone. Anyone remember the long hot summer days....seem like an age ago :rotfl:
Yesterday was not half a small productive as I'd hoped, so some items are carried over:
Freeze meat
Check if anything needs using - had a slice of Dundee cake for breakfast to help the effort :rotfl:
Vacuum where we've taken the decorations down
Washing shuffle
Small shop - this may have to be tomorrow as we're going to family later and may run out of time
Shower, use shampoo bar
Reconcile just for points credit card
Yesterday I also did several pages in a new bullet journal for 2019, really pleased and has given me a few things to focus on. Such a simple idea.
Off to check out a few diaries before the rest of the house gets up.0 -

* try to keep spending to a minimum at the panto!

Morning all
Today's plans include:
Make the oxtail stew in the SC that I didn't get round to yesterday Done now, smells yum. Will have it for dinner tomorrow!
Hang up still damp coat in airing cupboard as it is a waste of time pegging it outside when the weather is so damp and murkyDone
Put the Christmas decorations away in the loft cupboard, and find a small item that I have sold on FB Done
Try to motivate myself to list more things on FB and /or ebayManaged 1 item on freecycle and one on FB marketplace. Freecycle item is apparently being collected tomorrow, so hopefully one item decluttered
Count out into bags a lot of loose coins (don't get too excited - it is only coppers and 5ps) with a view to paying them in to the building society tomorrow if enough for properly full bagsI have £7 of copper coins and 5ps to pay in
Might have to buy a pint of milk today which annoyingly, will break my run of NSDs (haven't spent anything since before Christmas)The milkman will come tomorrow but there might not be enough for OH's endless cups of tea today... If I do have to buy some, it will be from the corner shop to avoid temptation - there is never anything much in there that is in the least tempting! Seem to have managed without, somy run of NSDs remains unbroken
Find the free 2019 calendar that I have stashed in a drawer somewhereDone
Might do some business paperwork  Done
And sort out some things for the CS Found 2 books I don't want to keep, but my brother has borrowed them to read first - he won't want to keep them either so they can go to the CS next week, by which time he will no doubt have finished them!
Dinner today will be leftover turkey and ham pieDone
I'll be happy if I manage all that!0
