Morning
Today will continue the Lego building, family games, we may also watch a film.
The washing machine will be going on if I can work out where to put the airer so they are not in our way.
Basic house work will be done to keep the place presentable, dishes, swish and swipe, a very quick sweep.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Morning all :hello: I’m at work today but must confess to not rushing myself :rotfl:
I’ve bought a slice of cake with me as a snack but tea will be leftovers as a fry up which I’m looking forward too.
I’ve done a few other things:
Check banking
Hot drink for commute
Bought lunch from home
Paid my expenses off my credit card as I was paid them today
Couple of loads of washing
Later will watch something on tv with DH and try and abstain from handheld screen time.
Have a good day everyone. Purps.0 -
I'm afraid to do my top! Procrastinating! Ok going to be brave and set up my overlocker after my coffee and this post!
Thinking about purchasing a break maker - really so I can stop buying plastic wrapped loaves! Will speak to oh about it when he gets up (he got up and let me have a lay in then went back to bed when I got up)

Just managed to have a read and catch up with the thread
Love the poem Ally first thing I did was to go off and check quidco
Everyone's Christmas activities sounded brilliant:T
We had a good Christmas day. DD hadnt been well beforehand but perked up for Christmas day. I cooked the turkey and sprouts and took them over to my mums where another family member was cooking the rest of the meal and then the family tradition of cards was played. I had also stayed late on Christmas Eve where we all watched a great Christmassy programme.
DD wanted to do the B@@ts sale before cold cut and chips yesterday. I didn't feel great but went with her. Abit too busy for my liking but it's become a tradition on boxing day. We were going to play cards again but DD fell asleep and when she woke she wasnt well at all. We managed to get her home and i have been up since 5am sorting her out. Managed to get into the doctors this morning and she is now back in bed. Samples being sent to the lab but if she gets worse again and temp goes sky high then I need to call out of hours for advice....so an interesting boxing day.
Ally I hope DW is feeling better and CCL I hope ur DD is feeling better aswell. Horrible when it happens over Christmas.
Got some lovely presents but still need to put things away.
Have picked up a few bargains in the sales. One of my aims for 2019 is to reduce my Christmas and birthday present spend budgets, esp when I'm quite lucky with the bargains I stumble upon. Also bought a couple of items for the charity auction I'm involved in.
Have really made the most of the 29p cauliflower offers. Thought I would have had a few little extra meals for the freezer but we've either eaten what has been made or DD has raided what I had in the freezer. This is another aim for 2019......cut down of food waste. I've just proved I can do it this least few weeks.....just need to keep up the good habits
I really cut down on buying chocolate and biscuits this year which saved some money on the grocery bill. So glad I did though as I received a few bits for Christmas that will last us until DD goes back to uni.
Think that's about it for now. Have a great evening everyone:) xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Afternoon folks!
It looks like everyone had a nice day. Ally, I'm glad that your DW rallied.
HK - I hope your DD feels better soon.
Well I was hoping for a relaxing day, but apparently when I'm not in work all hell breaks loose. I am sorting a rather nasty data set out.
Tried to go to the gym at lunch time with all the work folks but it was shut. My coach cancelled as no one had booked in. Fair enough, but no one normally books in so he could have warned us!
Today's mission:- Heating off - done
- B/L/D from stores. Supposed to be turkey curry for tea but I'll probably just pick at some salad. I haven't really got my appetite back after the excesses of the last few days - done
- No alcohol - done
- Gym after work if finished work - done
- Charge phone in work - done
- Crochet shawl with new Christmas yarn
- nope just vegged out
Have a good one all

Thank you for all the comments re microwaves. I have found one in Wilkos that was reduced from £70 to £40 so I have ordered it for click and collect.
Ally - I have been accused of having an eidetic memory by my work pal (I think he's jealous of my film quotes). But it's not. I have a very good memory. Especially for words, lyrics, facts and numbers. But it's def not as sharp as yours! I would need more than one listen to a song!!

Evening :hello:
Thanks for asking HK - dd is lots better. I discovered that she's been eating lots of chocolate very close to her sleep time so she's not resting well and she's giving herself indigestion. So I've told her she needs to have a bit more time between eating and sleeping, and to raise her head a bit when she's sleeping (extra pillow). I do think that she was a bit unwell but the excesses of the holidays also attacked her.
I ended up having a spendy day today when ds discovered I had none of his favourite frozen pizza in, and there was a major crisis brewing. So, I decided to do the weekly shop at Mr S. Expected it to be mad busy but it was actually really quiet, and I stuck entirely to the list except for a reduced dessert to take to bestie's house. In an out in less than an hour.
Visited bestie for leftover lunch and luxury reduced dessert, then came home to cook up some leftovers. I've made a beef casserole and Christmas Soup, which will keep me happy for weeks (so shopping to keep the kids fed as I can't get them to entertain leftovers).
Now just settling down with more drink and crochet in front of the telly.:D:D
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning all :hello: I'm off work today and only working 2 days between now and a week on Monday so can't complain
we're off for a family celebration today so I won't have to cook all day which will be a nice break. Well hopefully go out for a long walk later as they live in a lovely part of the country. I have a few jobs to do first:
Check banking, move annual payment that has gone out from a 'pot'
Reconcile just for points credit card
Load of washing on, one I did overnight out. Will need to go in tumble as it's been so mild but at least I get fluffy towelseverything else will go on airer
Packed away a few Christmas decorations that are no longer needed (countdown to Christmas etc..) will do others over next few days though as I like to go in to the new year with it all away
Triaged fridge, froze some cheese sauce, salmon and quiche
Go for a run
Pop to butchers for some meat for nye as I won't get chance again and I don't want to go on nye as it'll be ridiculously busy
Make a small list of shopping we need for next week. Will pop to L1dl on Sunday I think.
Think that's about all. Have a good day folks.0 -
