  • In a bit of a foul mood this evening, got home to a parking ticket !!!!!!, I have not had one in years! Was from a pub car park I parked in while visiting the pub, I will admit it was a dark cold wet night and I did not hang about to check signs before entering the warmth of the pub, Just annoyed as it was a date and I should had stayed at home on the sofa! So now need to pay £50 within a few weeks or it goes up to £85.00!

Then the Halifax Credit card, arugh interest has gone on before I received the next card to switch so balance is now £1,549.45, balance 3rd of Jan was £1550.00 so the whole £52.42 I paid in Jan was a waste of money! makes me now wonder about the last few months on it, I am NOT going to look into those figures it will make me cry! Also received new Tesco Credit card so can get that transferred ASAP! robbing W*&nkers.

On a good note sent £11.00 over to rent arrears bringing the figure to £486.00

  • How have you got a parking ticket from a pub car park while visiting said pub? That makes no sense. Unless it was an actual pay and display? Which I have never seen in any pub ever? Is there no way to challenge it? There is a motoring bit on here, knowledgeable people to do with all sorts, might be worth a post once you know all the facts.

Makes no sense to me either, however the pub was in greater London anything is possible there!...

Right I contested the ticket, mainly did that to deal so I could gather the £50.00, however contesting has worked, I am amazed! It is with Euro Car Parks and I got this in the reply...

    Breach of Terms and Conditions:
The vehicle was parked without a valid Pay by
    Phone transaction

Car Park: M&B - The Harts Boatyard - Surbiton

    I can confirm the following:
 The car park is operated by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). Cameras capture an
image of vehicles entering and leaving the car park and calculate their length of stay on site.
 The car park in question is on private land and upon entering such land vehicles are subject to
the terms and conditions of parking as shown on the signage. The signage quite clearly states
that if your vehicle is in breach of the terms and conditions of the car park then a Parking
    Charge Notice will be issued.
 On entry to private land it is the responsibility of the driver to check for signage and ensure that
your vehicle has been correctly parked. Any vehicles found not adhering to the signage will be
issued with a Parking Charge Notice.
 I note you state you were a customer on the day of issue, however no documentation has been
    provided to support that statement.
 Please be advised, if you do visit the site you are required to:
 Enter your full and correct vehicle registration via the console located on the premises.
 Pay for your parking at the pay and display/pay by phone - with a minimum spend your
parking tariff will be refunded by the venue.
 The Parking Charge Notice has been cancelled on this occasion, however any further Parking
Charge Notices issued for the same reasons will not be cancelled. It is the driver’s responsibility
to ensure the vehicle is parked in accordance with the terms and conditions of the car park.

So a complete result, I do wonder how many other tickets they have to cancel... Mental note not using that pub again!

  • Bit of an odd week was hoping to be more productive, but I went and got my haircut! have not had it cut since summer, and then the lady butchered it, guess that is what you et from a standby cheap £30.00 hair cut from Headmasters. However yesterday I splashed out after finding out I get a corporate discount, so got an £80 haircut for £63.00
    Paid:
    Rent 166.59 - arrears now at 391.00
Council tax 30.00 - 29.00 left for this year
Will tackle credit cards and gas next week

  • Result on the parking. Sounds like what we have at our local hospital. Reads number plate on entry, then when you leave you have to input number plate at a pay station and it states what is owed. First half hour is free. Annoying when most appointments run late. But I got free parking when my car was so dirty it couldn't read my number plate! So it asked when I had entered and I put 8am, when actually I probably entered at around 7.56, but I just rounded up. I left at 8.25, so or it free wen I possibly should have paid. Result. But I did clean my number plates lol!
