Is amazing clearing the Gas arrears, funny how you get a little buzz out of one less debt, albeit a little stupid debt so to speak.

Pay Day again today, I will admit money went a wee bit wrong today!

    Paid:
    £161.59 rent - £680.00 arrears
    £25.00 Council tax
    £10.00 elec
    £16.00 mobile phone
    £10.42 onto Halifax cc

I did buy a concert ticket this morning for Groove Armada in March, was £49.88, having a whole am I working to pay the bills or am I allowed to live a little argument in my head, have also had some of the New Years blues this week too. Still feel bad I brought the ticket and the money should have gone onto my rent arrears...

Other than that usual spends today

£43.00 fuel - will last the week + some
£9.00 lunch - a rare treat and that included staff discount! was yummy honey glazed ham with carrots, peas and roast potatoes, bottle of pop and a cookie
£5.00 - Crap on way home bottle of pop 2l and haribos... I know

Now have £20.00 for weeks food shopping and £10.00 for an emergency... money really did not go to plan.... ah well c'est la vie

Just checked my accounts, received a refund from ASOS for some bits that I returned, and 'found' £15.00 in there, brings my balance to £49.00

Set myself a little goal, to get through the week without spending it and if I managed that I will send it over towards the rent arrears, which will bring that down to £631.00 then the £61.00 (love a round number) I will send over on Friday making my arrears £570.00...

This should be doable, only thing I can see myself spending it on is food! going to a friends for dinner on Thursday and have stuff for lunches and I can eat out of the freezer, so not spending anything other that the £4.00 in my current account is possible, I do have a 'date' tomorrow eve in a pub though... hmm

I can do this!! small challenges right...

Just paid £24.00 to the rent arrears, it is the "left over" money from last weeks pay, was hoping for the £50 as previously mentioned alas I got tempted by food, the date went well I offered to buy a round he refused, and I didn't go to a friends for dinner this evening also had to go to post office for work which paid me back in cash.

Rent arrears are now at £656.00

  • Is there any chance that the temp job could become permanent. As for the housing association, because you are in arrears they have to know what the source of payment will be and how often to avoid any further debt recovery happening. I.e if you intend to pay monthly but they think it’s weekly then you would get letters every week. It also helps them to establish how much arrears they can allow to build before they start chasing you for debt recovery.

I am hoping this job will become permanent, I have told them I am interested and have put my name down for all the training I can have, first aid course, social media etc etc. Got given a company polo shirt today :D

As for the HA, I think I am in a bit of a !!!!ed of with everyone wanting to know what I have/have not got. I do have a £110.00 a week arrangement and am trying to clear the arrears asap, so if this job does not go permanent least I am not in rent arrears.

Let’s hope it becomes permanent then.

I can understand the frustration with everyone wanting to know your business but unfortunately when your in arrears or owe money this will keep happening.

So excited... Finally I have been able to transfer the Halifax balance to a 0% balance transfer card :money:

So bloody proud of myself, my credit score finally went up from bad to fair which enabled me to make the transfer, that is 27.96% removed from the £1,523.49 balance.

So I now have until June 2020, (16 months the 0% is for) to kill that balance, off course I hope to get this down to zero asap

Feeling so pleased with myself, there is a light at the end of this tunnel after all
