No they didn't, you were still there
Now me, I was home at 11 am, later then usual on a Christmas Eve and yes I not only drove in the dark to get to work, I had to defrost the car and drive on ungritted roads in the dark and at 11 am, my car was once agin a limo of ice and this time the roads were like a skate rink
But I was away at 11am cos we accepted that starting early meant we go finished asap0 -

@Comms reassess what? There was no work for me to do. There was espicslly now work for me to do when the other staff weren’t on site. The boss was just being a !!!! and not wanting to take responsibility for sending staff home.0

Hi, maybe he sees you as a good worker therefore he then says to others that you are coming in early so they will too
Maybe his/ your boss has asked him to get people in so the whole place shuts early.
Also on some work contacts, last one of mine did, its said something about reasonable requests to work different roles and different hours0 -

Doesn’t matter. Your boss is telling you to be at work. You have no right to go home early.
To be honest if I was your boss I’d be looking closely at your attitude to reasonable requests.0 -

Doesn't matter that there is no work to do, you are paid for being at work.
And you wanted to work your normal hours, so you can't really now complain about not being sent home early!0
