Share Dealing Discussion Area

Hi, I wonder if someone can help? I have some shares in danske bank, for a company trading on the Copenhagen stock exchange. I got these from a former employer. They are held in a custody account. I don't want to sell them yet but if I did can anyone tell me how I go about this and get the money. I can't it seems, transfer them to a uk sharedealing account.

It's iust difficult, communicating with the bank in Denmark.

Hi guys,

I have some Royal Mail shares in certificated form and am considering selling them. I may or may not actually sell but just want to know the best way to do so when the time is right.

Can anyone possibly tell me the cheapest (and easiest) way to sell them please?

HiMy father has dementia and I have just started looking after his financial affairs. We had no intention of selling any of his shares but have been approached by someone in New York and wondered how we can tell if this is genuine? Or should we simply ignore as we had not intended to touch his shares until his estate inevitably has to be dealt with.

How? Merely by the fact that he rang you out of the blue, that's how.

If you really want to sell, go to a UK broker.

I dont want to sell, but my brother, who jointly hold POA, asked me to look into it. BGL have emailed me some documents now coincidentally, and even spelt things wrong - this clarifies it even more to me!

Ive been using X-O for a number of years and its been fine for me, only on one occasion I was unable to login, which was rectified in under an hour with the help of X-O on the phone.

No hidden catches that I'm aware, just £5.95 per trade. Ive noticed no difference in service at £5.95 per trade than my previous broker who charged double that.
