British Airways give discounts on flights as a perk to shareholders. A colleague of mine makes regular BA flights and has found this a nice perk on shares he wanted to hold anyway.

We have about 12000 Tesco shares and will keep them to give us a reasonable return for what we paid for them over the years . Just got around £1200 dividend . Would like to invest in some fairly secure shares that give a good dividend and also may give some growth too . Where on the internet can i find a website that gives me the info on past dividend payments , the companies ability to continue to pay the same or better and the likely returns ?

Just to clarify, this only applies to people who held BA shares before the Iberia merger. There is no discount currently for people buying shares in IAG.

Dear All,
I've received a letter (bona fide) from Centrica, offering to let me buy more shares, sell my shares, or give to charity.

I'm interested in selling but am curious as to why I'm being offered a 20p per share selling commission, up to a max of £50.

Do they know something I don't? Are Centrica shares about to soar?!!

Any advice welcome!

20p per share is pretty expensive compared to most execution-only brokers.

I reckon they don't want you to sell, so I should get out now!

CNA is a good hold I reckon. I have sold but only what I bought on the lows to take profit, still got some long term.
I think 1 cent a share to deal is cheapest Ive heard in USA.

If you buy 10 more its ok price, 100 more and you could deal cheaper. so most wouldnt but its a way to reinvest dividends sounds like to me

Tullet Prebon. Hold or split or sell? I bought £1000 of TB in April they now stand at £1454. I am trying to decided whether to hold or lock in the gain by either selling all my holding or Selling £1000 worth of stock and effectively holding free shares. Anyone got an opinion on TB's growth or future prospects.

Finance tends to be volatile, hold the free shares would be the no regrets option. Also the question is how will you use the money not just what will you sell, if you can use money well then sell all of them as thats good growth you've seen
