You might as well stack your money is a big pile and set fire to it. Seriously.

Read some books. Read some websites. Do some research. Play Fantasy Share Trader for a bit. Then think about buying some shares. But don't, don't, don't buy shares just because someone on here recomends it.

exploring for oil in somalia. Crazy deal and very extreme prospects. RMP has suspended its shares because they lost too much value and they wish to wait for full disclosure of a drill report

My guess is its a bad drill report but companies will avoid extreme speculation in their equity if they can avoid it also it buys them time to try and raise some other venture as an offset to this bad news.
Its still possible shares could rise from here. I own RRL which are tons safer but unpopular now

I bought some BHP Billiton yesterday. Should hopefully be a steady eddie.

Tried to buy regular investment last month but Selftrade won't accept my debit card. Five calls later and it's still not working. They say "just use BACS" but that's no good for quick deals. Bah!
