From when the market opens at 2:30 today, anyone can buy them (as long as they use a broker that deals in US shares). They could have gone up quite a bit from the IPO price of $38, though.

They look interesting, does anyone here use them, do they charge a management fee for accounts that do not make any trades over a certain period ? I couldn't find it in their charges.

I know lots do from MSE, ask a fresh question on the main thread which more people will see, this thread can sometimes be overlooked.

I use them for research, seems they are one of the cheaper ones around especially for regular investment, ie monthly purchases. I haven't really got into shares as such yet, although I am doing lots of background reading and research so I can't recommend anyone as such.

Thanks - what exactly is a CDI? I've tried to understand it, some way of buying overseas shares in sterling - but is there anything I should be aware of?

Thats it, just a cheaper way for the broker to deal foreign large shares. They put in a bid for you on a large central store of these shares, you own some. Otherwise they need to employ a broker in USA to enter the market, when any large company basically is on tap here anyway. They'll give you the market price either way I believe

Im presuming we are talking below 10k of each share. Anything under 10k makes you a ladybug on a motorway
