Can someone please explain what the benefits of doing a T10 or T20 trade over the usual T3 trade is? I understand that when I buy shares, I have 3 days to pay the price when done on the normal 3 day settlement. Is the only difference that you have 10 or 20 days to settle the cost?

If your talking about the xo account, ask them. I'd like to know myself, there is no difference as far as I know, XO is the only place Ive seen it and they require money in advance anyway on their standard account at least

Im hoping to go to a shares shop in Leeds, with an investment of around £50(not to make money, but to learn and then to move to an internet company ), and then try and make some monies lol. I've found halifaxfantasytrader, and I've used that but I've just bought 2.4K worth of shares(without realising they were all pending!), when I was buying shares just by looking at graphs which is probably not the best way though its probably good for a beginner.

Just wondering, whos the best broker online? And can anyone recommend a site that shows live real time share prices-Most Ive seen are 15 minutes delayed

X-O, TDwaterhouse (maybe?), or III.co.uk?

I use shareprice.co.uk for live streaming. You can have more the one SP blinking away in front of you too- can drive you a bit nuts though...!

Shareprince seems to be 15 minutes late? I've now had a re-read and found ADVFN, but its not as user friendly as the other sites. Just wondering who's your broker then?

It should be ontime I only use it via the portfolio set-up where it seems to work ok but on the last traded price not the mid price.

Does allow you to watch movements in spread which is helpful if looking to buy or sell a share.
