  • My last day to get everything done here, hols start tonight with friends arriving for dinner and to stay the night before we all head off to the snow. I am working at lunchtime too.

Currently trying to get the photos off my phone to free up some storage to try and make it function better. Why isn't it obvious to me!

Must sort out beds, cook, cook and cook (to take with us) and clean living room and kitchen (at least make it presentable)

    Let's get going

    Thank you, Natty :A

2 more days at work and at school, then maybe once those deadlines have happened, we can come down off the ceiling.
At work for most of today, then I have to go to small town to collect DD who is pushing various things to the wire. Dinner will have to go in the sc before I leave.
DH is under the threat of redundancy, but we don't know if the decision to reorganise will happen before Christmas or after. I can't stress about it, what will be, will be, and we will have to work it out if / when it happens.
BUT Christmas cards have all left the house, presents are mostly wrapped (and DD will finish the last couple at the weekend), and we will be eating whatever is already in the fridge / freezer for the next week or so, as I have no intention of doing battle in a supermarket.
Oh, and the battery has gone in the scales - it must be due to the shock of the slinky challenge - or not!! I will report in on that lack of success when I find out how to get the old battery out....

    Hello

Just popping in to say package has been received, thank you Natty :D xx

Present delivery / coffee / chat has taken care of the morning. This afternoon is dedicated to wrap, wrap, wrap. As is tomorrow morning.

    Lunch first though :)

    Tomorrow priorities are:
    - Flower arrangements for [STRIKE]front door,[/STRIKE] centrepiece, banisters and church.
    - tidy and clean kitchen
    - make study habitable for my brother
-[STRIKE] put away boxes that held decorations[/STRIKE]
    - put away anything in lounge which should be elsewhere
    - [STRIKE]reassess lists
    - print off notes about charity presents[/STRIKE]
    - collect mum from Welwyn, bus due in 16.40
    Don't panic

Still work in progress here. Part of lots of things done, no time to list them.

    Ditto to both comments!
Had planned meal for 3 today as my brother was going to be working late so getting a takeaway. He rang this am to ask if he could actually eat with us. Mutter. He'll be tidying the spare room aka office himself at this rate! :eek:and mum just sent a text saying she's on the earlier bus so I need to be at WGC by 4.30 to collect her. No knitting now then.

Nine presents wrapped. Plan to wrap nine more this afternoon. :xmassmile

That will leave twelve to wrap tomorrow morning and I'll wrap everything I've bought for DS on Saturday morning as he will be down in Hemel Hempstead after a friend's birthday bash in London tomorrow night. That will = all presents wrapped with no backache and time to spare :D Sounds like a plan :)

Oh, and I need to put cash in a card for my youngest godson - who recently turned 15  How did that happen???

Thank you for my flycards everyone :D

  • Not entirely certain how I made it through this morning, but I'm home early and have no intention of - nor capability for - moving again for several hours.

Himself is pottering in the kitchen and the most I intend to do is have a very long bath and an early night.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Looks like Mr Wolf's medication list is increasing again; he got a call from the surgery this morning to tell him there was a script for clonazepam waiting for him.:(
He's collected the script but we can't get it filled til after Xmas now.

l've found a kilner jar to put the dried banana chips I did yesterday into, and I've made a pizza for dins and a loaf, but not achieved much else today.

Mr Wolf is currently ironing a pile of hankies.

Oh, and we have a working $ky box again. Shame!
