Supposed to be out by 9.30am and back by 10.30am with the food shopping.

Christmas fresh food shop battle won
Supermarket 'last bits' battle won.
Fridge jenga - defeated - flipping ginormous cauliflower!!!
Kitchen tidy. Woop woop
Bottom of the washing basket found.
Dining room table clear....
presents rearranged under the tree - done.
Sitting down for ten minutes before getting the Pickle up from his enormous nap- in progress.
Still to come...
Take stuff down to cellar.
Have a cellar sort out (waiting for the iPad to charge sufficiently so I can listen to 'stuff' while I work.
Stuff up to loft
Wrap rest of the presents
Start icing the Christmas cake.
Have a go at decluttering the dining room further.

Go Valli, well done. You are a better person than I would be.
Parcel dropped off and big shop done. By using cash back stored through the year and vouchers, got a £176 bill down to £24. Very pleased with that.
Everything in fridge, I have taken out what I need to prep for tonight's tea, so that is next job after a cuppa and then I'll finally take the dogs for a walk.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Finally made it on here! Laptop refused to boot up resulting in me doing and factory reset and then having problems logging on here! Anyway, all sorted now.
Had a day's work this week which I wasn't expecting and already been booked for 6.5 days in Jan
Valli - Secret Santa gifts have been posted and received. Sorry I didn't let you know sooner.
WM x 2 done, some presents wrapped and, errr, not a lot else.

Finally made it out five hours after we were supposed to be leaving the house and after several moments where he queried my cooking ideas because they couldn't be validated by a 'proper' recipe on the internet, I decided not to shove him in front of a van [strike] at least until after I've found out whether he's bought me a present this year[/strike]
Promptly discovered in the shops that he'd typed my PIN wrong at some point in the last three weeks (he takes my card a lot of the time, as I CBA to go out after work) and he'd not mentioned it. Fortunately, the big branch was open today, so WE stood and waited in a huge queue to get my card unblocked.
Nipped into the shops and sorted out Xmas Dinner and New Year Dinner, one my choice, one his. Made a point of spending a whole pound on some Tete a Tete daffs, which I've already repotted in a nice bowl to go on the table.
Kitchen looks like a bomb's hit it, but that's not my problem, as he's just made some toast with my HM caraway & oat bread.
After that, I'm going to start making some bread pudding and I think I'm also doing some Mulled Cider with Blackberries - although, going by the size of the flagon of Scrumpy he's bought , I'll be doing that a few times in the next week or so (but the empty flagon will look cool on the kitchen windowsill and it's not the vile syrupy stuff in cans from the cornershop, so it won't be a bad thing if I do).I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Hiya xx
Natty my flylady cards arrived yesterday. Thanks for taking the time to do this xxx
Thanks to all for the cards just what I needed yesterday x
Had the worst day at work was so annoyed that I didn't go to the Christmas lunch. Came home and went to bed. I'm seriously thinking of cancelling Christmas here as I don't think I can deal with it. Been suffering with a BD visit. Don't really see the.point in having everyone round for Christmas dinner when they don't bother with me through the year.
Will be in tomorrow to do the list this house is like life of grime.
Love and hugs to all xxxxI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
been to Mr m's -cheap chicken - pack of 4 breasts half price and not ood til tomorrow and now in freezer AND shin beef for about £1.50 and that's in the SC on low along with vegetables and herbs and being transformed into a very slow cooked stew in SC overnight. And DS took me to Mr S and I got an organic pork joint for £1.49 instead os £5 (ish) and some nice sausages YS. All now in freezer. Small turkey bought and found the game DD wanted at the low price she found and that was in a tall trolley thing. I've been gifted a christmas cake that's the perfect size for us.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok. Great bargains Valli.
Today I may go to a carol concert, but apart from that just a dog walk. The day is mine so I may do some jobs I'd normally do on a Monday as I'm out most of the day tomorrow.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Kitchen, bathroom, downstairs loo s&s'd, bedroom - quick dust and changed bedding. First of 3 washloads now in machine.
It's pouring with rain, so dog walk can wait. After my cuppa I will hoover through.
I have a huge frog to tackle (for the last time ever, thank goodness) but have now put a date on it to get it out of the way next Saturday. I feel I don't need to worry about it now over Christmas. Don't let me not do it next week please!Spend less now, work less later.0
