Mr T has been and delivery has been checked off and PUT AWAY. :T (And toilet rolls were included woot woot :D)

Plan was to start wrapping again now - but I'm nazzed, so I'm taking some time out.

  • Hi all

Spending 3.5 hours cleaning and sorting laundry was not my preferred way of using some in-lieu time from work BUT the house does look better. We shall ignore the fact that DH was home all day yesterday and I am working like a dog at the moment. Hey ho.

Seems that DS cannot wrap his girlfriends Christmas presents (or wash up) with his poorly arm - but can drive and can ride a horse. A hug and a glass of wine gets Mum to do his wrapping for him - he thinks!

Beyond tired now ... counting down until Friday.
  • Washing done, dried, ironed and put away. Several loads
    Packing done
    DW reloaded again
    Dinner made and eaten
Phoned a friend to organise cat feeding

Now drinking camomile tea before going to bed

Sat up till 1.20am with a report. And knitting. Worryingly, the special hat I've been making for Mr N looks as if it will be too small, so very despondent- not the least of which is because I'm still behind with reports owing to time with the wretched needles!

However we've done a marathon shop at Mr T and got some bargains - large diced Swede/carrot packets for 22p so I got 2 and have cooked them, 1 to go on the planned fish pie tomorrow and one to freeze as mash for later. Quite a lot of other yellow sticker stuff . . . Including a box of clementines which fell off my trolley halfway across the car park!! They rolled everywhere, luckily several kind people helped us capture them.
Went to gym am for shoulder trainer
Mr N cleaned guest room and bathroom.
    Most presents wrapped, ecards sent.
    Most decorations up.
    Tomorrow priorities are:
    - Flower arrangements for front door, centrepiece, banisters and church.
    - tidy and clean kitchen
    - make study habitable for my brother
    - put away boxes that held decorations
    - put away anything in lounge which should be elsewhere
    - reassess lists
    - print off notes about charity presents
    - collect mum from Welwyn, bus due in 16.40
    Don't panic
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Can't move. Just got in from work and Himself (who was an absolute star coming in to work with me yesterday evening, all day today and tomorrow morning) has provided gin, tea and a hot pie.

    I hurt so much.

But its the last day of work tomorrow.

    Thank goodness.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Assignment completed to the best of my ability (very limited atm because of the clash of the subject matter with all the **** that is going on around me).
Took Rosie for a walk in the sunshine :)
Slept for an hour and a half after lunch :o
Went into the big city by train with DH for a bite to eat, a smooch round the German market: nothing reasonably priced or even particularly exciting, apart from the huge chocolate-covered marshmallows, of which I have bought 9 (they will be severely rationed!)
Enjoyed a concert by a highly skilled band of musicians and singers, which means that Christmas is definitely close :D

    Flying today has consisted of
    - WM x3
    - cooking lunch
    - relocatinf a couple of books that I picked up off the study floor.

    That's it, folks! G'night!

  • I have been flying reasonably well this week, thanks for the lists, they are really working for me.

However, croup is a mean and nasty sleep thief for the whole family. Poor Pickle who is suffering terribly. He had the steroids yesterday, hoping for improvement today and sleep tonight.
