    Morning

Fingers crossed for Fayolle's phone xx

I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed this morning - putting it down to not eating an evening meal last night (don't think an apple puff merits the name 'meal' :o) and a late (for me) night. Received a text from DS at 10.30 pm 'Are you still at J's? lol'. Yep :D

However, I am dressed and breakfasted, bed is made, WM has just finished swishing, L's Christmas and birthday presents are wrapped and in appropriate bags (from stash :money:), with cards, ready to take to lunch; money to pay for said lunch and for hair appointment this afternoon is in purse; and TADAHHHH the tree is up, lit, tinselled and starred and DS has been texted, with a photo, to let him know the tree is waiting to be baubled by him (it's tradition :D) when he comes home this evening.

Right - laundry shuffle and then a brew methinks.

and, as usual, I go to the wire.

Christmas Cards written. I had already done Flylady ones and some for work... these need posting.

Incidentally are there any SECRET SANTA updates? Posted? Received?

    I'm still alive - just.

Had a couple of nasty blips (for "blip" read "collapsed in a heap") recently, but it's just par for the course, nowt to fret over.

Mr Wolf's meds may need to be tweaked again.

I did manage to give the bathroom a really good "do" yesterday, including major limescale removal from the loo. Mr Wolf has been volunteering to do the loo while I've been having dizzy turns if I work at a low level and get up too quickly, but he doesn't scrub it as hard as it needs to keep the dreaded limescale at bay.

Blokey is due any moment to service the boiler - Mr Wolf is detailed to deal with him, I don't cope well with workmen. I shall hunker down in the lounge and pretend I'm not here.

Then this aft we have to go into town:
    • Collect meds
    • Get F&V from market
    • Buy coffee beans (Wh!ttards)
    • Do a small Morries shop
After that, I suspect I'll be too crackered for owt else, so tomorrow we hopefully will be colouring my hair (I want it done before Friday - try and be presentable for Yule)

Thursday the $ky engineer is due (cue another dose of hunkering down and pretending I'm not here, but this time I'll have to retreat to the bedroom). Our box turned up it's toes, so I've had a blessedly tv-free week. Tried again to get Mr Wolf to agree to ditch $ky completely, but no dice. :( Never mind, I'll keep working on him. I'd prefer no tv, but would happily compromise with Free-view.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Cards taken to PO. Apparently last day for 2nd class *mops brow*

Cards written for every child in the class I teach on Wednesdays. Just need to write those for Mondays then all children's cards will have been written - just shy of 100  no wonder I procrastinate.

Tweaked addresses list and added cards list on another sheet - Excel. Have now remembered that the reason it's out of date is my up to date list was on old PC for which I forgot password when I started using lappy (and have now thrown). This is an old list stored on a memory stick. So that's updated. Must (like I mean to do every year) check list sent against cards received. *adds to Toots list*.

Still need to buy a tree...

Thank you x. Me too, but I am fearing the worst. The stupid thing is that I've had to be dragged kicking into the 21st century and hardly use my phone. Until recently of course when I thought that I should use this bit of technology that I carry around, so it now has my music, podcasts, and ALL my lists:eek: Totally my fault, so no point in moaning. Thank goodness for my trusty ancient tablet, or I wouldn't be able to look at the lists on the thread either!

Bathrooms finished, bedding changed, duster whipped around downstairs as per the list. Vacuum partly shuffled around the downstairs, to be continued after lunch, kitchen floor mopped. I still need to wrap a couple of presents, then I promised DD that I would figure out a Heath Robinson way of attaching a garland up the bannisters. I have cuphooks, thread, and a variety of other possibilities to explore since the hooks that I used last year pulled off during the year.

  • No flying done yet,

But I HAVE FINISHED MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING, ok still waiting for a delivery (keeping everything crossed.

I also have a menu plan.

The rest of today will be sorting out the kitchen, washing(including ironing and wrapping presents, ironing and presents will probably be done later in front of the tv and DD1 wants to help wrap so will definitely take advantage of her.

Tomorrow is cooking ready for hols and packing, Thursday I'm working and Friday we're off to the snow!

Better get going in the kitche, the shopping bags don't seem to have emptied themselves!

Thanks for the reminder, Valli - just dropped ours in the postbox with 15 min to spare!

My assignment is not going well :(
  • Hi all

Think the marathon 11 hour day at work last Thursday, followed by a busy weekend, a late night at work last night and 5am start today has final caught up with me. I have posted no Christmas cards but all the presents are bought and wrapped - except one.

House is reasonably clean and tidy - a bit more food shopping to do.
2.5 days left at work then once we have done the big family party on Saturday I intend to sleep for a week.
