Let's be honest One Select where pretty poor so I doubt their records will be easy to transfer to the Together Energy system. I telephoned Together Energy and spoke to a very helpful adviser and decided to take out a three year fix with them. They were not the cheapest but certainly competitive. This means they may stay in business a bit longer. At the end of the call the adviser gave me his personal email at Together Energy and said to email him anytime if I had any queries. I have never had that from an energy company before.
Can only say that you are easily pleased !
Still have had zero contact from Together in the last 5 weeks -they have failed to deliver on their promised timescales (no sign of an account being set up by end of January) and are now suggesting that final bills from OS will be available by the 14th Feb. on the FAQs on website - but no email to individual customers.:(
They announced that they had retained OS staff -so the transfer of accounts should have been a lot easier than some of the other supplier failures recently , where offices were just shut down.
The longer they prevaricate ,the more cash they will get from customers who really want to move on.0 -

My impression is the opposite. I have now sent them about ten emails & had not a single reply or even acknowledgement.0 -

This is my experience too. I've emailed the customer service address and then when this was ignored I started emailing the complaints address. Still not even an acknowledgement let alone a response so I asked for a manager to respond as per their complaints procedure....still nothing
Utterly patheticThe starting point of all achievement is desire0 -

With respect (and this is not specifically targeted at you), some on this forum need to get a sense of perspective.
I agree Together's communications have been lacking (I'm being kind) but there is no point continuously emailing or calling them at this stage -its just slowing down the process for everyone
If you're owed money from OS (we are) it will eventually be repaid as they get to grips with OS's records.
In the meantime, just apply to switch provider to whoever you want - all the accounts should have switched to TE by 8 Jan - so you don't need wait for their permission, for them to refund any OS credit or for a TE account to have been set-up.
Your new provider will also then have your initial readings which by default will then become your closing readings for TE. By waiting, all you are doing is increasing the amount of energy you use with TE (which may well not be the best tariff for you - it wasn't for us).0 -

Apparently my online account will be activated "by the end of the week!
Date is pushed back every time I ring back0 -
There's no need to ever give Together Energy or OneSelect any other meter readings.0

Yes, I suppose that all that is required the closing reading for OneSelect on 14th December & an opening reading for EDF in a week or so should be sufficient. Then Togethet Energy can send me a final bill less the £200 that I am owed by OneSelect.
I let my new supplier deal with getting my opening reading with them across to Together Energy. Interestingly, they decided to enter it onto the central database and get it validated before sending it to Together. Perhaps this makes it a little harder for Together to dispute. If they do dispute, I've taken the precaution of having photographic evidence of the readings - once bitten, twice shy!0 -
I found out some very interesting information today regarding Validation.
For Gas, it seems it only takes 1-2 days from the time the gaining company uploads your opening reading to the Central Database, to get Validation.
In my case, the opening reading was uploaded on Friday 25 Jan and was validated on Monday 28 Jan - so the next working day. This reading was then sent to Together.
For Electricity, the validation process can take up to 2 weeks! I have no explanation why it takes so much longer for Electricity. I was simply told that it is always Electricity readings that cause delays, Gas readings are much quicker to be validated.0
