Landlord thinks we have pets, even though we don't. May refuse to renew our tenancy?

Because its not ideal to have to find another property to move to. I understand the landlord CAN evict us for no reason. And if there is any reason at the moment it's because he thinks we have pets. We are goot tenants who look after and respect the property and never fail to pay rent on time. He said it was for long term let. The only reason he would want us out is because of the pets we don't have.0

If you fail to use the quote button again we will assume you are lying about not having pets.

OP is landlord still your mother in law? Are you still living with your partner who sleeps with his sister?!
Honestly - far more pressing concerns than where the guinea pigs are now0 -

My past or what you think of it has no relevance in this issue. Move on or bore off.0

What was said in the quote is relevant to this thread because the last post was written less than 3 months ago so we don't know if this is the same LL (complicated situation) or you have moved and have a new LL. Advice will differ if you are still living in old place or have moved. if you have moved it was only two or so months ago presumably, so a bit early to be worrying about LL evicting you, hopefully.
Or it could be that there are some inconsistencies flying around. Who knows?
Not really sure why you are reacting as vehemently as you are. Surely any sensible person would wonder what advice is relevant here? I'm surprised you aren't able to respect that.0
