Landlord thinks we have pets, even though we don't. May refuse to renew our tenancy?

Judging by all your posts you don't seem to get much luck with LL's and now agents.

People seeing animal as disposable consumer items may not be one of the most pressing problems facing our society, but I do think its a signifier of a lot of things wrong.
Maybe the OP lives in Peru wheres theres always a good use to be made of guinea pigs.0 -
Yes we have told the agency that there is mould in a certain area of the house because of warm air condensing on cold walls, that part of the flat is very cold and has no heating or ventilation, we have told them it is not due to having pets.0

1. I'm not a student.
2. If you don't have anything interesting /productive to say, I won't be interested.

Trust you told them, in writing, copied landlord, keep copy, using Shelter's draft letter on their website0

I have told them in writing, but not using the draft letter.
Is there a link you can send me?0 -
I'm just concerned that even after mentioning the mould isnt due to pets, the agency is saying that the landlord if we have any they need to be removed, and saying if we don't we are breaching the agreement. Even though we have said we don't have pets. I think they are so sure we do.0

There's enough to go around.

Sounds like you did the right thing with your pets.
If you have pets the landlord can serve notice to evict you.
If you don't have pets but the landlord thinks you do, the landlord can serve notice to evict you.
If you don't have pets and the landlord accepts this, the landlord can serve notice to evict you.
I'm not sure what you gain from winning this argument with the landlord.0 -
