Castelli Parmigiano Reggiano Gran Selezione is £15.99 per Kg on the shelf but the packets say £17.08 per Kg! Just picked up £18 worth of the best parmesan cheese ever :)

i tried the cheese today shelf price 1.21 LB pack price 1.22 LB went to see the not so lovely lady on customer services who was not at all happy about it and tried to say that as the kg price was right then it was o.k and no refund even thou the LB price was wrong, she went onto say that tescos only have to provide the price in KGs and that they do the LB price as a courtesy to customers, she was very annoyed when i reminded her how courtous it would be to give me a refund , i think i will need to shop at a different tescos, good job she didnt study my reciept as much as she did the cheese label i think she would have been upset to see i got 9 quid off in coupons too.
    Another day another R&R
    kindly sponsored by tescos.

watch out for the gammon....it states 5.79 on the shelf, and there are a few at this price, but I "found" some at 6.29....waltzed smugly to the checkout.......and it scanned at 5.79..(no scanner at the store)

still at least I got some more cheese - cheese and potato pie for tea (I feel like Xmas when thinking of turkey recipes)...the poor boy said if I give you one pack free as there is only 1p difference you have got a good deal...I said if you give me all 4 packs free as per your policy I have a better deal...(he did very quietly)

can't find the chicken now though......and we eat lots of this....

if it said £1.66 on the shelf but was scanning at £1.90 then you were entitled to a refund and keep the item as you have been overcharged

  • Sorry, I made a mistake on previous post, it scanned at £1.66.

Hehe I'm a winner !! Very pleased with myself and MSE!

At last some mispriced goods !

Chicken Drumbsticks, new stock coming in with higer price, got 4 packs at £9 total.

and ... some mature cheese £1.62 on pack but £1.52 on shelf. 2 packs free thanks very much.

Funny thing is I am veggie! But planning a big bbq in August, so will be very useful.

What a hassle at customer service, got a really dippy staff member and took over half an hour to sort it out. Tried to fob me off with difference too! The cheek when it's in big writing behind her head.

:j DOUBLE POINTS ON SELF SCAN CHECKOUTS AT THE MOMENT TOO!
Like my avatar, took the photo myself with the free digital camera I bought from boots with all my free points! I love moneysaving.
