No, as there were packs that were priced correctly, she wanted to give me a full refund and then for me to buy the cheaper ones. But I was feeling awkward so said I wanted a refund and no chicken lol“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

DORMOUSE
"I argued for a penny's difference today.
Was looking for the Irish Cheddar, which wasn't mispriced. However, spotted a Value Mild Cheese (funny how they aren't allowed to call it Cheddar), medium size, pack price £3.35 /kg, shelf price £3.34/kg."
I didn't have any issues explaining to the guy at 1.00am this morning in Cov about why the 1p is so important....expecially when you have 5 purchases in your bag!!! :rotfl:
And this bargain started me sniffing around a little more in that area....
Low and megrabbed......
Red Leicester and some expencsive hard stuff (Like parmesan), both over priced on the tags to what the deli had typed in earlier on....this one may well be a localised thing only, but worth a look in the morning!
All together....£39.50 worth of cheese for nothing!!! :j
Now where did I put them mouse traps!!! :rotfl:Click COLOR=Red]HERE[/COLOR to participate in my latest finger exercise program!!0 -
Watch yourself with the bacon offer!!!
There is loads of 16 pack rindless bacon out in Cov, with the price of £2.89 on the label nut the shelf is quoting £2.49......
But it scans at £2.49!
So before you load up your trolleys and head for the tills, always find the shoppers scanner and check!!!Click COLOR=Red]HERE[/COLOR to participate in my latest finger exercise program!!0 -

This happened at one of the stores I visit and they put a new updated version in,so dont panic....................yet0 -
OK I'm EXTREMELY CONFUSED now! People keep saying that they found X item with a shelf price of say £5.00 but on the "ticket" (presumably the price as marked on the item packaging?) it says say £5.05. So surely when they scan it it says £5.00 and you are being undercharged, not overcharged, so not entitled to a refund? Enlighten me someone!0
-
NO SILLY!!! :rotfl:
If the item has £5.05 on it (say per KG)
yet the tag on the shelf states £5.00 on it per KG
then you may buy something with a price on it of £8.54, and it will till up at £8.54......but! the £8.54 has been calculated at the £5.05 price!
Hence you really should have paid £8.45, thus you have overcharged!!
GOT IT NOW!!!! :T :T :TClick COLOR=Red]HERE[/COLOR to participate in my latest finger exercise program!!0 -
Oh ok. So when they scan the item at the checkout, they use the price on the item, not the one on the shelf? I assumed it was the other way round!0
-
No. They scan the price on the item. If that is charging you more per kg than the shelf edge price then you have been overcharged. Just make sure it is the exact same thing you are buying, check weight ranges etc.
