My son has just come in with a result!! Fresh British Beef Steak - Minute Steak - priced at £6.99 per kg on the pack, £6.69 on the shelf edge label. He bought 2 packs, went to customer services and obtained his £14 refund with no hassle. He's well pleased and won't even give me any!!

Says he going back again tomorrow.

ok, no oil or salad cream and no Irish Cheese,

but- Tesco value cheddar cheese 3.34 on label 3.35 on packet (new stock is coming in at right price, so I kindly bought the last 4 wrongly priced)

also 1/2 shoulder lamb coming in at 3.69 again (ticket still says 3.39) - the poor girl on pricing could not understand what was wrong with this even with me, mum & customer services trying to explain that this meant she had overcharged us...she aked us ehat to do with the ticket..

at the other tesco the girl said they will probably put the wrong price out again tomorrow,,,,and I said I will probably be back then..

need boxes of choocys though for gifts if anyone knows any

I wrote an email to Tesco.com asking about overcharge on the website:

    Thank you for your email.

Our overcharge policy does include purchases made via Tesco.com.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us at customer.service@tesco.co.uk
I started off with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

    HI

I have just read this thread with great interest and would be grateful if someone can clarify for me - where you give details of meat , cheese etc and the price per kilo is different on the packet than it is on the shelf are you still able to take this back to customer services for your money back and keep the product for free? I ask this as don't these products usually have an individual total price on them - so would Tesco not argue that you are paying the right amount if the price on your pack said, for example £3.49 and the till charged you £3.49

    Thakns for your help

Yes, because their shelf price might mislead you into buying something because you thought it was cheaper than it actually is

Suppose that you had been to ASDA and saw steak for £6.50 a kilo, then went to Tesco and saw a price on the edge of the shelf saying £6.49 a kilo, you may decide to buy it at Tesco. If you are then charged £6.59 a kilo you have effectively been conned... ;)
Thanks to all who post constructively.
