Slightly off topic - I was sent a healthy living voucher,(with the HL club mailing) spend £5 on Tesco Organic fruit, veg or salad and get £1 off.
It dosn't say fresh or frozen so picked up 2 organic frozen peas and 2 organic frozen sweetcorn. Total £5.96 The voucher did not scan so I was told that it looked valid and to take it to Customer Services. I did this and they refused to honour it saying that it was for fresh only. I pointed out it didnt say fresh or frozen but she wouldnt budge. So I asked for a refund and kept the 4*50 clubcard points for free. I'll be doing this again until the voucher is accepted...........I love Tesco

The olive oil wasn't mispriced in my Tesco either. Shame as I was really looking forward to it! Oh well, hope the cheese works for me! :)

Ok i may need some help i think :o

On the shelves in my local Tescos was the rump steaks @ £7.58, now some of the packs were £7.72 BUT the weight was over 1 lb or whatever it said on the shelf.

So was i right to not buy these or was i stupid and missed out on a bargain !?

Cullumpster, if the price per Kg (or per lb) is advertised lower on the shelf than it is on the packet then it's an incorrect price and you would be overcharged - and due a refund :)

The weight of the item doesn't generally matter it's what you are charged per kilo (on the packet) compared to what the shelf price says that is important

    OOhh thanks,

i migh have to have a little trip to Tesco's this evening then, i was looking for the £7.98 ones but there wasn't any so i thought that it was probably just those ones that you could get refunded.

I also saw some rafita (sp) bins, i think they were £1.69 actually on the bins but £1.30 on the shelf, worth a bash :)

I've had one of these vouchers as well from the Tesco Baby and Toddler club, valid until 30th of September. Knowing my luck CS would take my voucher and give me the £1. Then I would have spent £5 on frozen peas that I dont really need and dont have the freezer space for. I could justify buying organic sweetcorn but I am not sure wether our store stocks it.

Mind you its still worth the hassle to get another 200 points on your card LOL

i got my first ever free meat from tesco this morning , pork joint british leg, shelf price £1.39 kg label £1.69 kg, went to cs she had to fetch somebody else , who did a lot of tutting and moaning about somebody putting the meat on the shelf without checking the price and said to cs work out the difference in price and give back the amount overcharged, to which cs replied no i am going to have to do a refund , more tutting but finaly agreed, by this time there were 3 more people studying the 2 packs of pork, but i got my pork and £8.00 so was happy , walked back down the meat isle on my way out and the tutting lady was removing all the packs of misspriced pork .
my local tesco seem to be very aware of missed priced meat as everytime i have gone in to try and find the miss prices mentioned on here, they all ways have white stickers over the incorrect price and the shelf price on them

Some of these shelf labels DO have a weight range on them, and if an overpriced packet falls outside of this range then that's a loophole that an on-the-ball CSA may use to wriggle out of a refund - they did with one packet of turkey steaks with me :o
