"refunded you on this occasion" it sounds like I won't be able to appeal again.
Thanks to all who post constructively.

I use tesco.com and they frequently get prices/products wrong. Every time I've phoned to correct any problems I've always been able to keep the product and they then refund my card. The refund and replace may not technically apply online but in my experience (maybe I'm just lucky) they always do it anyway - perhaps it's just less hassle for them that way?Te audire no possum. exmusso wrote:It was only the shelves which were marked half price. The two barbies sitting on one of the shelves still had the original price of £29:97 and I got one of the staff nearby to check the price. She came back and confirmed they were not part of the half price offers. All the barbies (same as what I got) sitting on the floor shelf below had both the box and the shelf edge labels displaying the correct price. I'm happy with my buy but realise if I pushed it I could have got it free.
Cheers,
Alan
I think under the circumstances you made the smart move here, as there were only two on the shelf it would indicate these have been "dumped" someone happening along the offer and already carrying a full priced product merely switched and left the offending items behind and you would have had a hard time fighting for refund and replace under these circumstances, you did well to get the discount in my opinion.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
OK, found more meat
I know we've had pork before, but I think this is a new one (sorry if it's not). British pork lean prime shoulder, sticker is £2.68/kilo but shelf said "was 2.68, now 2.65" (woohoo, a 3p discount, but then again, that's enough for us)
Didn't have any problems getting my money back, the guy on CS didn't even bother to check I was telling the truth.
This is my first free meat (my store seem to be so correct with their prices), so I'm happy! :j0 -
And for those non meat eaters out there, try this one for size......
prepacked salmon steaks!!!
price on pack £2.88 per pack, or buy 2 for £5.00.
however!
price on shelf is £2.68 per pack buy two for £5.00!
so........only buy the one and get your £2.88 back at CS!!!
Happy shopping tomorrow!!!

But fish is meat. I don't understand Veggies who don't eat meat but eat fish. When I ask for a Veggie childs meal in Mac D's they always offer me fish fingers.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Vegetarian - Is fish some sort of vegetation?

I guess its just the way food is put into catagories really, like when you are in the supermarket the different sections are named aren't they. You get the meat one, then the fish one, then the poultry one and so on. Its just an expression so that things are a little less general I think. Some people don't eat meat for other reasosn though so perhaps they still eat fish? I dunno i'm just trying to make a point. Anyway as a veggie I don't go in for meat or fish so who's gonna find me a freebie nut cutlet?? I can't find a darn thing!!0
