Hi, sorry, newish to this thread! Does anyone know if Asda & Tesco accept Sainsburys own vouchers?
    Welcome Lisaleea,

Though this is off topic ;) ... Yes they do take £x off £x spend vouchers but not the product ones. Best to ring (dont forget to use www.saynoto0870.com to get a freephone / geographic number) and check. I did this 2 days ago as I have some £5 off £50 spend Sainsburys vouchers I will be using on Sat.

Tesco Hartlepool has nil ! No mistakes ! Spent hour looking, very disapointing.

    I've been Money Tipped!
after reading all the great bargains you chaps have got, I rushed straight to tesco.

I could not find anything that was mispriced - what a shame. Price per Kg is not something I would have normally checked but I will from now on.

The Steak i bought above really was my FIRST attempt at this.It was so easy i just had to check again before i purchased the meat.It was also very easy to spot the other mistakes with the chicken and pork.

The best way if you are new (like me ) is to just browse the fresh meat and look at the shelf price per pound or kilo and the l;ook at the pack price per pound or kilo.It is amazing how many times i find the mistakes but not had the bottle to try it out.I would have bought more but my freezer is full GGRRRR so back there next week for some more.

I forgot to add to my other post above that the C.S. lady also asked "if you knew you were being overcharged why did you buy the steaks "

    OH BLESS !! P.M.S.L

i noticed my tescos have removed most of the shelf labels in the meat department so they must have realized which is a shame cos i only managed to get 4 packs of chicken.

  • Hi Folks,
First post but long time browser.
Local Tesco (Elgin)had loads of barbecue stuff half price but the item that caught my attention was kettle barbecues at £29:97 on box. These were not half price but two were stacked on a shelf which was clearly marked half price.
Got a hold of a manager, pointed out if I took this to checkout and was charged full price, I would end up getting it free as clearly in wrong shelf etc. Said I would be happy at half price and ended up paying £14.97.

    Cheers,
    Alan

You may only have got it for free Alan, if there was a price on the shelf which highlighted that they were all half price.

The fact that only two had labels on doesn't mean much, they most probably all would go through the till at £14.97 anyway. :o

OK.....This one has been bugging me for a while now!!!

IF...you buy 2 packs of 6 * Pepsi max 330ml Cans, because there is this amazing "buy 2 for £3.50" offer being thrown in your face.....

YET...right underneath them you can buy a pack of 12 anyway for only £3.29!!!!

ARE YOU BEING OVERCHARGED BY THEIR PROMOTION OR WHAT!!!

I will be very interested to hear if anyone has pushed this one becasue I have been "a man on the edge!" over this for a few weeks now!!!!

Found three more packs turkey breast steak overpriced today, however because one of them was ~50g over the weight range detailed on the shelf edge the very clever Customer Service Assistant said that pack didn't strictly qualify for a refund. Quite happy to refund the other two which were within the weight range.

Couldn't argue with her - she had a good point.

Moral is, be careful - don't just pick up the heavier packs without checking they're within any qualifying weight range the shelf-edge ticket might state.
