I had a further look and it appears multibuy discounts arent taken off until delivery as you said. What an odd arrangment..
You also say that you can hit the £50 threshold and get that discount, but does this work on the final tally?
I'm wondering will I not then qualify for the £50 money off code if the final amount is way under £50 when the multibuy discounts are taken off?


I paid for my online bill by credit card..how do they adjust this? do they action a refund or request more if the actual bill on delivery is different?

I just couldnt do it,I had to have some of the rump steaks.I just couldnt walk past them a second time with the wrong price.

3 packs, £21 refund thank you very much.

Picked up 3 (last 3 of higher-priced) of the healthy eating turkey quick cook steaks today.

Girl at Customer Services really didn't want to refund me, accusing me of only picking up the ones NOT on offer (guilty as charged btw ), and saying that the price on the shelf applied to the newer stock, not older stock which was still at the old price. I just raised one eyebrow, Roger Moore style and informed them they'd overcharged me and they were obligated to adhere to their policy.

She went off to check with duty manager who she said agreed with her but told her to refund me in any case...all the time she was blustering and wriggling and trying to tell me that it was a different item I'd picked up to the one on offer :rolleyes:

Would have loved to have told her my cats will really appreciate their overpriced poultry but didn't want to rub salt into the wound. Will have to remember to check the steak tomorrow

I emailed them as what would happen if an out of stock item brought my total below £50 and I was told to contact them if it did. I had two multibuy offers which would have brought the total below £50. Fortuantley they substituted the bog standard loo rolls for some very expensive own brand ones. This made my total slightly higher to just over the £50.

So I rang our local store, no problem took the expensive loo roll into store and got the bog standard plus refunded the difference.

Wonder what would happen if all your shopping was BOGOFs or offers?

I've been chickening out (pun intended) of buying any more meat since the girl who refunded me last week is always on the CS desk when I'm there. Today though I gave myself a talking to and forced myself to be bold. When I got in the shop someone else was on the desk anyway so I cheered up a bit and grabbed the two biggest pork shoulder joints on the shelf. They've actually re-merchandised the meat section since last week and corrected most of the errors; not these joints though, and there are still mispriced Turkey steaks there. They've finally exhausted their old stock of chicken thighs and the latest ones are actually at the correct promotional price.

Anyway, once I'd paid I proceeded to the CS desk only to find that the usual girl was back:eek:. Anyway, I asked for my refund, and she didn't say anything- disappeared for five minutes, and then came back and refunded me for both joints without ever indicating that she recognised me from last week. £15 worth of pork for free- thanks again Tesco:beer::rotfl:

Had a good night tonight - 2 packs of rump, 2 packs of the turkey and 1 bottle of heinz salad cream (unexpected!!!). The till asst took £7 of vouchers on a £40 shop - which included a load of 50 points organic burgers :dance: .

However - we were followed and eyeballed by the security guy who could not understand why we were taking ages on the meat aisle and taking phone cam snaps... The customer service lady was great though - and refunded the total without even asking - and gave it in cash when we'd paid on 0% tesco card!

The Heinz salad cream is the 425g bottle - priced at 1.24 - but scans at 1.28...
