If you contact customer services they will confirm this is absolute PANTS,
Tesco refund and replace policy is nationwide no excuses or disputes to the contrary accepted whatsoever. The only change made to the policy was to exclude items they have UNDERPRICED from this policy as initially the wording allowed for refund and replace on any item charged for incorrectly, now it only applies to overpriced items.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

And why would they have signs in some shops saying that they will refund the overcharged amount - they have to do it anyway, so why have a sign? And surely indivudual stores can't make up their own policy about this sort of thing?

yesterday Mars ice creams BOGOF (all varieties)
Bought 1 x Mars; 1 x Mars Midnight; 1 x Maltesers; 1 x White Maltesers.
charged me for three not two ... i.e. didn't recognise one of the BOGOF's
went to customer services and refunded me both the free item and the original item, so I paid for one and got four !!
Not sure which item wasn't recognised though0 -
Probably the ordinary Mars as that is usually excluded from the BOGOF offer.

Strawberries on offer yesterday, buy 2 packs @ £2.38 for £3.00.
Charged full price and no reduction/saving deducted for the offer.
Didnt notice at the time so off back today to buy 2 more packs (just to check) and get the due refund.
Great for eating whilst watching tennis !!0 -
I bought a few items when the clothes had a 20 percent off discount weekend and a pair of jeans were too small, when I came to look at the receipt I had been charged 3.50 and the jeans were 3.00 so I got 3.50 back and larger pair of jeans.I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,
But all I have are memories and a heart full of love and tears.0 -
Just shows you how much money Tesco (and other stores) are making from those unsuspecting people (like our grandma's! n grandad's) who dont notice they have been overcharged.
This being the main reason I dont mind pointing out their mistakes to them, even when it seems like I am constantly at customer services.0 -

Did it work again today? Fruit and veg prices seem to change daily in our Tesco

I would say they probably make more money out of harassed mums and dads and people of are just in a hurry. I am 23 and my friends think i'm insane when I check over the receipt and pour over the prices on the shelves! I think our grandma's and grandads probably have the time to check the prices and make sure things add up!0
