Just come back from Banbury Tesco with f.o.c 2 pork joints, had a bit of a wait as the c/s just refunded them and wouldn't let me then have the meat aswell! Had to explain their policy and speak to the manager.............................However they had more of these on the shelf if anyone is in the area today!!!!

Johnson and Johnson baby wipes - BOGOF - Rings up on till as full price for both. This happened to the guy in the queue in front of me. No use to me, maybe it is to you. Think it was a pack of 100 in a pink packet.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Think I've spoilt this for others after me in Coventry Extra.

By claiming my refund on the chicken, it has made them look at every price on their meat shelf. All the shelf labels now say Was £*.** per kg, now £*.** per kg on steak, pork, lamb and anything else that may have been overpriced.

Oh well, I suppose I should be grateful that coventry has 4 more tesco shops for me to go to....

A bit off topic, but the training CS staff have these days sucks. Mine was a lot better when I worked there too many years ago. Yesterday, I returned an item of clothing and a toy. Clothing should be returned to the clothing desk, but I thought this was stupid if you return something else, so wrote to CS manager a few months ago when I'd been made to do this before. She wrote back stating she agreed that 2 transactions was pointless when 1 would do and to return both items at CS desk in future. So I did. CS staff didn't believe me when I told her this, so treated me like it was a favour that she returned both items for me...after my confident, "talk to your management if you have a problem with this" attitude about it. No yelling, or pointing or agressive speak, just a calm "actually, your problem, not mine" speak won the day. thanks for the advice Ben500.

And here I come Tesco...so, sirloin steak I need to look for now, yes?!

    !

I think the penny has dropped on the meat fiasco now as all the Tesco's I have visited in the last two days (around 17) have had the POS removed from the meat displays, and try as I might I haven't been able to find any more mispriced orange juice, sad as we have just run out on the eight bottles I got in the week, four kids and a brother in law were just simply too much for my supply to cope with!

Remember pricing errors are not restricted to meat they are just easier to spot as they have both prices on location for you to compare, best way is to take a proper look at the shelf edge point of sale material as you go around the shop picking things up don't worry how many different items you are purchasing as the mispriced items will jump out at you on your receipt so long as you make a conscious effort to look at each price the information will be stored in your brain and the bells will ring if you get screwed on your receipt! It won't be automatic but just by paying that little extra attention you will train your brain to spot errors within weeks, and you will get steadily better at noticing which kind of produce is more susceptible to overpricing too, so long as we all keep each other informed we shouldn't miss anything between us, and don't forget you are providing Tesco with a valuable service so there is no need for any guilty feelings from you as the customer.

Another thing to remember is there is nothing in the policy to state you have to notice the error before leaving the store so play it smart, make a few trips and get yourself stocked up in the safe knowledge it will all be free, spare the rest of us a few moments to post your find so we can do the same, and collect your refunds at your leisure.

Did any one else manage to squeeze some orange juice out of Tesco by any chance?

But what if they remove the shelf label before you return? there is no way to prove you are telling the truth. My mobile is camera-less and I'd dread to think what looks I'd get if I got my digital camera out in the middle of the aisle. What do you recommend to prove you are right about this?

Thinking about how I'm going to make sure I spot the overprices in future, instead of crossing things off my shopping list, I'm going to write the price next to them. That way it's an easy check to see if I've been overpriced as there's no way I'll remember the prices of 100+ items with "singing" baby wanting my attention going round the store.

Tonight, at Kingston Milton Keynes store, Malteasers are "Buy 2 for £2".
They charged me full price for both, customer services refunded the money and gave me the chocolate, mmmmmmm...lovely!
