the beef scanned at the right price in my tescos
    never mind

Do you mean it had the same price on both the shelf and the pack itself? Or maybe no shelf price? The packs are scanning at the price they have on them, but in most Tescos the shelf price is less than the price per kg on the packet.

I noticed when I got my refund that the Cust. Assist. removed the shelf label, so the loophole in that store was closed for now.
  • Interesting, this is from Tesco.com:-

And if things don't add up
    • In the unlikely event that we overcharge you we will give you your money back and you can keep the product.

I think I would complain if they refused to follow this rule.

I bought 2 chicken kievs on Saturday in our local 'little' Tesco which were reduced, but the cashier failed to scan it at the reduced price. I took the packaging back today to proove the price plus the receipt and asked for a refund. I was under the impression that they refunded the whole amount - but I was only given the difference between the full and reduced amount. I argued this and was eventually given the full amount back, but the duty manager said their policies were different to 'big' Tesco - how can this be true if they're all the same company?? Any comments would be helpful, I'm not sure if I'm right or wrong now

It's not true the manager lied to you, check with their head office customer services and they will confirm this for you!

Can anyone tell me if they know that the Tesco 'refund and replace' scheme also works on electrical puchases made from their website?

If so i may have spotted something...

Refund and replace does not apply to Tesco.com it is instore only.

    Dawn,

I would double check that because the packets I bought had the TOTAL PRICE of the joint stamped on it and that is what I paid.

I wouldn't have thought that the complete reverse would take place, because that would really be taking the BRISKETT!!!!! :rotfl:

Bought 4 sets of Fisher Price Peek a Blocks

    Items are stickered at £6.99

    Shelf price £5.97

3 of them scanned fine at £5.97

    1 scanned as £6.97

went to CS and got £6.97 back and kept the item

The one you want to look for is called LEARNING FUN (displayed in orange panel at bottom of pack)

I doubt very much Tesco will correct it as she took no note of the one that did not scan correctly and it was the last one on the shelf.

Here is a link to the Fisher Price website so you can see what you're looking for

This morning the video of the film 'Paycheck' has a sticker on for £5.96, but is scanning at £12.99 in my local Extra in Newbury. I don't know if it any other films, sorry.

I'd love some of the Peek-A-Blocks but am getting a feeling it was a one-off, seeing that only one scanned at the wrong price... Still, fingers crossed!
