Plodding on slowly. Got up at 3.30am as I was getting in a bit of a panic with all that needs doing. Had a cup of tea and wrote a list of 'possible' things to cook.
    - Went to church and agreed with friends when to decorate for Christmas.
    - Went through a whole load of gibble from the lounge bookcase as it was too full. Always hard to part with books, but out-of-date National Trust books, maps of places we won't go to again..........
    - made a dessert (from the list); in fact made a small one we can try this eve in case it isn't up to much. A large one is in the freezer.
    - replenished a flower arrangement.
    - Mr N put up strings for cards, so at least they aren't in little piles everywhere. He also got decorations down from the loft.
    - delivered charity food boxes.
    - put chicken in oven.
    - cleared lounge table enough so we can have dinner later.
    - did a bit of knitting.
    - now planning to check and email a report then hopefully continue with another while Mr N has gone to collect MIL as she is coming round for dinner. She can watch us decorate the tree maybe.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Only smells like a single garlic bulb dumped in the SC this week. I would have thought the non consumption of over half last week's chicken due to the polluting smell and taste (and I like garlic) would have been a clue.

Sound of washing up in nearly cold & greasy water going on now. Hopefully, it's just a couple of bowls' worth to redo.

Stuck caustic soda down bath plug hole earlier as it wasn't draining freely. I presume the bits of leaf I pulled out first were from the deadly-to-cats flowers he bought last week and had to keep in the studio.

And the microwave is being used despite the mould and rust/my mentioning that it's probably not safe to use and I'm looking for a replacement.

Will I make it to Christmas at this rate? Or will he?

    :):):)
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
