    Time for a :coffee:anyone?
Mr N set off this morning for the gym, planning to visit the tip, the paint shop for more gloss, the carpet shop to check final arrangements for tomorrow on his way home so I've been trying to get motivated; I'm very lucky he does so much but it is hard to keep up.
    So far today:
    - filled bird feeders
    - emptied clean DW
    - one load washing done and hung out
    - several emails answered
    - brushed and vacuumed hall/stairs/landing to make it ready for the new carpet
    - washed up
    - done a couple of rows of knitting

Next has to be uni work. I did manage to finish and email one at about 1am and start another, which is why I feel shattered!
Now sitting with coffee, having decided it is near enough for me to get out my beloved Annie Lennox Christmas Cornupia CD and sing along.

Worked hard this morning, but procrastinated a bit this afternoon. Even so, achieved a lot in the kitchen and actually worked out a meal plan! That hasn't happened for years.

In addition to my list, I have a pile of homeless stuff that I found around the kitchen that I'm going to put away or dejunk in a mo, I have done ALL the backlog of washing (still one load to dry. I wanted to let it air dry to save money, but I decided it was more important to get it dry and put away). Spoken to my Mum and finally know what I can get her from Xmas (and I can get a decent discount on it Friday, so that's even better!).

All in all, a good day. Back to work tomorrow, so it'll be interesting to see how things will fit around that...

(((Hugs))) Ionafan, and thanks Natty and Valli for the thread(s).

Slight success; today I have cleared all the scrappy notes that were piled up around my computer. Huge progress at long last at eating my way through all of my min-froglettes. They'd been hanging around for far too long.

I've also ordered to cut to measure foam huge cushion pads I need, all of Kelpie's drugs left on his prescriptions, 14 more visitor's parking permits, a book for someone for Christmas, emailled the Women's Refuge for someone who wants to donate a Christmas present, got all of the laundry in, tumbled the bedding and re-arranged the rest on the drying rack, let the kittens play on the sundeck for an hour, done three hours at the foodbank (very, very busy), sorted out the car, emailed Kelpie's hydrotherapist to ask what to do about this week's appointment, vacuummed the area that needed it, washed some dusters, washed all the birdfeeders that were minging and refilled the clean ones that are already outside.

I must now go upstairs and do a bit of filing before cooking dinner. It's been a clearing the decks day and this is all part of Hovel to Haven. I will have this house in some sort of order by Christmas, although the finessing will have to wait until next year.
    Better is good enough.

    Morning all,

It's a day at home today, then out to pick up DD in the afternoon. No excuses for not at least flying for part of the time, but I'm working on that. I have also got to, in no particular order:
    - email a friend - long overdue - about meeting up in the new year
    - confirm to DSis that we will be meeting up at Christmas
    - try to find the car insurance documents on line so that I can print off the certificate
    - sort out a few presents for wrapping
    - sort out a new wm. The old one suddenly died, and the washing bin is getting fuller. On the plus side, there is no ironing pile!

Suffolksue - there is no F word here, so don't beat yourself up x. Sometimes we just don't get as much done as we hoped or planned, but tomorrow is another day.

Right then. Kettle, then bathrooms. So at least I have ticked the hated job off early in the week.

Nobody fails on this thread - we all have some days on which we follow the thread less than on others.

That sounds like Flying to me!

My day yesterday consisted of finishing off some knitted Nativity figures - so far I have only done Mary, Joseph, Jesus and a star, and I need an angel, 3 shepherds, a donkey and at least one sheep ready for Thursday morning, as well as writing the script and planning the craft activities so that someone else can lead the Toddler Group because DH didn't think to change his hospital appointment weeks ago when I told him that it clashed

In the past 24 hours Flying for me has consisted of emptying the rubbish bins, taking down my birthday cards, taking Rosie for her walk, putting meals on the table, filling the dishwasher and making knitting and sewing mess all over the LR and spare bedroom. I don't remember much of that appearing on Valli's marvellous list! And none of my Christmas cards have been written yet!!!

Onwards and upwards... This afternoon I'm deserting DH and driving for 75 minutes each way in order to see DGS3+4's Christmas play; and tomorrow I'm off to DGD2's play (there was only one ticket available for each, and the invitations were addressed just to me). I wouldn't miss them for the world :)

Hope everyone has a good day. ((((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all in need xx

Sorry it's late but list is up.
Not slept too well but this mean

    TD x3
    WM x2
    DW x 1

And I now have a mountain of ironing. In bed with coffee. Folded last load while kettle boiled.

Sounds as if everyone is being hard on themselves - non list items are still fine and sometimes just doing basic life skills is like wading through treacle.
After yesterday morning's relative success, we spent most of the afternoon going from shop to shop trying to find the little table thing we want for the hall. Ever the optimist, I was convinced one of the charity shops would have something the right size and quirky enough for our taste, but no. Nor any of the other 6 shops. We came close but zip. Gave up on the rest of our list eventually, disbelieving, and went to Ald1 as we need food. Rushed home, Mr N dropped me off to unload food, do a bit of report, row of knitting while he went round to check mil.

Worryingly the carpet cleaning man hasn't rung back or answered email.
Flowers and oasis in water, out to pick foliage now before zumba.
