Saving £250 for December. Was hoping to save a lot more but am still waiting to be paid for one of my jobs.
Total for the year: £7750

SF / Geoffers - the spreadsheet seems to have glitched a little, as it shows my total saved as my target (£75k) rather than the SUM(F7:Q7) for the 12 months, which is £80,914.19
Geoffers - I was in 2012 as well, but had to drop out halfway through when building work went over-budget and I had to spend my savings. So almost "ever present", have done 7.5 years
(formally I've done a day less - I joined on 2nd January 2012! If you'd told me that I'd save over a quarter of a million quid in the challenge over the next eight years I'd have thought you were mad - don't think I had any savings at all at that point, and whatever I did have went straight to the builders!)0 -

I would not be posting that in parenthesis if I were you Lomcevak, personally I would be jumping up and down on a rooftop somewhere!!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:T:T:T:T:T:T - we can only aspire to those totals. Well done!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'm declaring £615.33 for December.
This is a bit of a fudge because the amounts aren't adding up properly, but it gives me a correct annual total of £6472.61.
That's a lot less than my target, but I have to confess that my target was made before I decided to do the holiday-of-a-lifetime and I never bothered changing it.
I've also upped my SIPP pension contributions this year, and my workplace pension contributions have increased alongside workplace pension guidelines (work won't contribute more than the minimum), and I don't count either of those for this challenge.
So all in all, I can be happy that what I've spent, I've not regretted spending. And counting counting savings + net SIPP contributions, I've saved >30% of my net salary.
I'll be aiming for £10,000 again, though I'm planning quite big life changes next year (looking for new job and willing to move towns for this) so I have no idea what my finances will do, really. The last two years of saving have given me a nice cushion to get through anything, though.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Thanks so much for running this SlowlyFading. I've just submitted my updates for October, November and December and am very pleased to have smashed my target this year! I won't be joining you all again next year though as we are doing an expensive house refurbishment and I'll (hopefully, all being well!) be on maternity leave from July so next year will be one of us removing money from savings rather than adding to it!MFW2023 challenge #99: £1090.11 / £1,000 MFiT-T6 (Jan 2022 - Jan 2025) challenge #99: Reduce mortgage to £400,000. Hi all
I've just submitted my final entry for December and am pleased to report that I've met target!
I'm going to bow out of next year's thread as I'm not sure what the year is going to hold for me. I still plan to save but suspect I'm going to be supporting all of our finances from next month on as my other half is still not well enough to work and has depleted all his savings now. Thankfully I think I can support us both without too much trouble, but I'm not sure if or how much I'll manage to save and, by not participating, I think it will take some of the stress off by not seeing the impact on here!
Good luck to you all for 2020. A big thank you to SF for continuing to manage this group, and I hope to see you all again in the not so distant future!£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

I met my £5k target, exceeded it by £183.24. I've found this year a bit of a struggle and am just working out my budgets and savings target for next year. Will post those on the new thread once sorted.Spend less now, work less later.0

hi all, no. 15 here reporting a December total of £1,521.27, bringing my yearly total to £11,788.74. So close!!!! To be honest though I'm not massively unhappy because my year did start off underwater from big bills in January and I also work one day less per week now than I did when the year started. And at one point round about the middle of the year I didn't think I was going to get anywhere near the target! Onwards and upwards. Looking forward to next year's challenge now, ready to go
Thanks slowlyfading for running the challenge and a huge Happy New Year to everyone who's completed it :T:T:T:beer:
