  • An interesting year, still not made my target, but happy with what I have saved.
Will concentrate more on reducing the frivilous spending, whilst still enjoying life.
Thank you, SF for having this thread, all the feedback helps with increasing saving going forward.
hopefully next year I can reach my reduced target.

Hi everyone! I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year to you all too!

I'm pleased to say that I saved £885 in December, taking me to £7285 overall. My goal was £6k, so I'm so pleased! Considering I saved £4k in 2018, I'm over the moon to have saved so much more!

I think I'll stick to a £6k target for 2020 again, as the plan for me and OH is to buy our first house together this year. My flat has sold and we're looking to rent whilst looking. Should be moving very soon! So I'm just going to save as much as I can where I can, but I can imagine things will be very different this year...

Well done to everyone on whatever you achieved this year. Here's to a prosperous 2020!

Geoffers - I was in 2012 as well, but had to drop out halfway through when building work went over-budget and I had to spend my savings. So almost "ever present", have done 7.5 years :D

Fairy snuff Lomcevak - I can see you posted savings on the thread in early 2012...so I've you added you onto our "ever present" savers on the Totaliser spreadsheet!

#157 reporting a very nice £1863.18 saved in December and form updated. That takes me well over £14K saved this year compared to my target of £8K, so very happy.

Have only set a target of £6K next year, since my savings are going to take a heavy blow in the coming months. My wife has to have dental surgery that can't be done by our NHS dentist, and what I thought was a horrible £5K bill has now been confirmed at just under £6,600!!

However, on a positive note at least I have the money to pay it thanks to this brilliantly motivating thread!

    Happy New Year everybody.
