Thanks for this!
* Start and complete the 1000 mile challenge, hopefully loosing weight as I go.
* stop looking back and wishing I had ......
* make a start on decluttering
* stay off fb at least two days a week!
* get a job (I'm retired but still relatively young and need structure)
* make an effort to make more meals (OH does most of the cooking in our house. I'm a lazy mare)
* in an effort to complete any of the above start a notebook of lists and diary + & - as I go.
* write a Christmas card list along with folks addresses
* make up calendar and send birthday cards on time!
* accept every invitation rather than find excuses not to!
Best wishes everyone0 -
So I’m going to make a start on my resolutions for this year, though they’ll be work in progress over the next few days:
One offs- Make a will (again)
- Go to Spain to visit family
- Refresh bathroom (paint and reseal bath)
- Get outside of the house painted
- Check all Direct Debits and cancel any I don't need
- Change internet provider
- Keep a note of spending for one month
Health
(As a smug note I’ve lost a stone the last year, much needed)- Go to all of my exercise classes
- Eat healthfully and use supports regularly (e.g. My Fitness Pal)
- Focus on not drinking alcohol, it makes me feel worse
- Be more active at weekends
- Walk 2019 miles
- Think about meditation again
- Improve vegetable consumption
My end goal is to have lost at least another stone over the year, ideally more, and be close to my goal weight of 147lbs
Family- Be more accepting of who and how people are
- See close family regularly
- See friends regularly and try to come up with reasons for regular dates
Work- Do my day and go home - it’s only work
- Connect more with wider team and be more of a team player
- Build networks (go to events, meet people)
- Be OK with saying no (politely)
- Be positive
Finances- Keep up to date with financial admin - check in once a month
- Save £600 to long term savings
- Continue to build short term savings fund (£1200)
- Keep OH up to date with our financial position
Beyond all of that, my other goal is to be kind to myself, to accept that sometimes things are tough.
Longer term I’d like to do some decluttering as well but as per the above I’m not putting that pressure on myself just yet. Of everything above, the health/weight loss is by far the priority!0 -
