Following on from our December 2017 resolutions thread this is your chance to set your intentions for 2019.
Well done to everyone who achieved some of their goals in 2018 - remember if you don't fail occasionally you aren't reaching high enough!
As always I will come back and post mine after Christmas when I've had some downtime to think and plan, but I know some people are better organised than me and might want to start sooner!
**spoiler alert** there will be a weightloss one!

Train in the gym at least three times a week.
Take a bit more time out for me.
Think about what I actually want from life -I turn 40 in 2019!

I'm in!
Goal 1: lose a fairly substantial amount of weight - say 10-15 kg - hopefully before a holiday in Sri Lanka in April. Well - at least 5 kg by then!
Goal 2: Declutter wardrobes & drawers.
Goal 3: (And this is the one I do hope I can achieve) - move into a granny annexe at the bottom of the garden, with no 3 son & wife and twins (who will then be 18 months old) living in the bungalow which is my home atm!.0 -
1. Get some of the things that need doing to the house (mainly living room walls skimmed and some of the garden walls rebuilt) done (I'll have to find trade or trades to do them as I'm rubbish at DIY)
2. Save £4000-5000 pounds (relatively achievable)
3. Actually set a date for our wedding, which means deciding where we want to hold it0 -
Be more mindful over eating and spending.
Be the person I used to be not the lazy person I have become.
Stop doing things for the sake of peace and quiet
I have just realised by writing it down that's it all linked. DohAll that clutter used to be money0 -
1. Lose weight - I managed to lose 12lbs in the 3 months before my daughter’s wedding last year but have put 3lbs back on since
I found it much easier when I had the date of the wedding as a specific target to focus on. I’ve tried giving myself target dates to aim for, but struggle to stay focused without a specific reason.
I will persevere though.
2. Finances - continue to make small overpayments with the aim of reducing the term. Current fixed rate ends around Easter so also hoping to get a good new deal, reducing the due MP slightly, which will add to the OPs.
3. Declutter - Having sorted out the biggest bedroom this summer, I now can't actually get into my smallest spare bedroom at all(keeping the door closed helps enable me to ignore it
)
I need to do this during days with longer daylight hours though - last time I ventured in there to look for something, there was a power cut and I was trapped in there in the pitch black for two hours as I'd managed to block my way out moving boxes around! :rotfl:
4. Travel - hoping to be able to get away this year, however this is not in my control. I need my daughter & son-in-law to confirm if they can take holiday from their work to come and stay and look after (their) cats, and to give me the dates.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

2018 has sadly been a step back for me in several ways, but nothing will change if I don't try to start anew. So let's do this!
My 2019 goals are:
-lose 4st,
-get out more socially,
-travel more, including abroad at least once,
-finish painting my house (for now!),
-tidy up my garden,
-make better use of my time generally and
-try to meet someone.
All the best to us all :-)0 -

To get out of Faulty Towers no 2. January or February seems like a stretch!
To get into my brought in a sale size 14 dress
(my friend takes me into all these small fitting shops oblivious that I'm a size 22)
To clear out the back bedroom once and for all so my friend can come stay.
To take better care of the finances.
To fill in my diary next year (I picked up Dawn French's Me You one, a bargain at £4 and looks jolly good)
I look forward to re visiting the other previous thread on it's anniversary of when I posted. If brave enough. LOL!0
