#106 here with an early September update of £1,292 paid off the mortgage. Monthly interest has also dipped below £100 but will rise as new (and higher) fixed rate comes into play later this month.

This month marks exactly 10 years since we took on the first mortgage and a quick calculation shows that since then, we have made on average just over £2k capital repayment each month for the past 120 months. Thanks,

    September total: £1,292
    2019 total: £22,731 / £28,000

Not at all! Could you let me know your goal for the year, and I'll give you a number? :)

#8 starting off the new month with a tidy-up OP of £62.02, more to come later in the month :)

...and another £2,010.36 from #8, making £2072.38 for the month and (edit!) £36,468.92 for the year to date. Remaining mortgage now just over £21k, with 8 months to go at the current pace. Don't expect to make more OPs this month, but who knows? Maybe a frugal month would let me dip down into the £20,xxx's :)

Mini-milestone this month sees me tick past £100k of overpayments since taking the mortgage out 6 years and 4 months ago (and £101k, for good measure!). Now roughly ten years ahead of the original schedule :D

Well done! Would you be able to have a quick look at the OPs I've entered for you so far? I'm getting a total of £36,468.92, and just want to make sure I haven't missed anything.

#37 here - OP for September is [STRIKE]£1121.59 please. I have also paid off a £10,000 lump with some of DH's pension lump-sum. I am undecided whether to include this - if I do it means we have exceeded our target. I suppose it would boost our total for the year as a group.[/STRIKE] £11,121.59. This means our balance is under £18,000 now

    Thank you juliecorn.
    Have a good September everyone.

Nice one! Well done, it seems like yesterday I was in the £18,000 bracket but with steady OPs it's melted away and now I've just over £2,000 to go. You really are on the home stretch.
