I've done everything that I originally signed up for which was to index certain threads and help make finding things easier in future.
I quit.
Squeaky, I really don't think you should quit pet, and I'm sure nobody here wants that at all. That was the very last thing on my mind when I entered into this discussion and I was hoping we could all 'sit down together' and listen to each others' view points and hopefully try and come up with a solution that everyone's happy with
There's so much potential for this board and you and Galtizz are doing a fantastic job, as I've already pointed out, and it would be shame to lose your input.
There's also a level of maturity on this board which is hard to find on other forums and the fact we can discuss this in a sensible constructive way without it dissolving into a slanging match speaks volumes about the members here, and each and every one should be respected for that, no matter what their viewpoint is.
Please reconsider resigning as BG and let's see if we can't all sort this out *hugs*"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I don't understand at all
but if you feel you must Squeaks then of course you must, regardless of how great you have been at keeping us all in line (even when you tell us off you make us feel good about it!)
I just sincerely hope you arent' being polite & it is really beacuse you feel you have acheived your excellent indexing task & not because we've driven you to it though? I fear we can be a rowdy, illiterate, off-topic, demanding bunch
Thanks for all your excellent hard work & maybe you'll consider comming back at some point in the future, maybe when you've had a few decent nights sleep?

I know I can't keep everybody happy all the time - but I don't have the skills either that can keep things together without there being dissention. And I find that aspect of BG'ing distressing. Galtizz has a much better touch than I do with that sort of thing, you're all very lucky in that respect.
And as I said - I ain't going away - just going to stop being a BG.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. When I came to this board around 6 weeks ago I felt as if I had come home...here were lots of people all talking about things that I had been interested in for years. All my friends had a bit more free money than us I knew that they wouldn't have wanted to hear about my latest 50 pence saving....I know that if I shared it here I would have been congratulated.
Now I feel VERY bad that a group of sensible mature women (I know that there are male users of the board but it is mainly women) have bickered and whinged, upsetting someone who was doing his very best to help keep things running smoothly.
I'm embarassed for us all
I'm sorry Squeaky0 -

Well said App.tyc. I'm sure you speak for the majority of us.

I'm very, very sorry that we've upset Squeaky, I'm sure none of us had that intention, I certainly didn't.
But I don't feel that we've bickered, whinged a bit, yes, but I feel that everybody has a right to state their own opinions and most of those opinions (bar mine, I have a tendency to waffle) have come across as well mannered and eloquent.
There are certain boards on here that I wouldn't post on for love nor money for fear of being jumped on in no uncertain terms. It just goes to show what a lovely board this is that no one is afraid of saying what they think.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Don't know quite what I've missed this morning
You've done a great job and if you believe your health is suffering then you've made the right decision. NOTHING is worth compromising your health for. Glad you're not leaving altogether thoughMink0
