If there is a second referendum ...

One thing this Brexit saga has proven that one can be completely stupid yet hold a commanding position in parliament
And this applies to whether the person supporting leave or remain.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
I argued that a senior EU figure should have been on the Remain podium during the referendum, ready to answer any difficult questions....straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.
If people wished to read up on the future direction of Europe there's plenty in the public domain. As has been said on many occcasions for the EU to work for everyone. There has to be integration across the board. From fiscal policy to immigration to economic policy. While individual members continue to take a what's best for us attitude the divisions will remain. Still 17 million unemployed people in Europe. With some 35% of young people in Italy, Greece and Spain without employment. That's a sure recipe for unrest. Not helped by the growing African population that's on the horizon.
As much as Mrs May is clinging to her plan. The EU are wedded to there's. Intransigence may well cause frustrations to boil over.0 -
Can you point out where I'm wrong or distorting facts?I think most people would assume
As the Urban Dictionary says, "assume = to make an 'a!!' out of 'u' and 'me'."
So I suppose from that now we know what that makes you and those that think similarly.0 -
Even better to watch them splutter when you start asking questions about the WTO. Even simple ones like "What's the name of the bloke in charge?" "Where's the head offices?" What do you think of the Most Favoured Nation clause?" It's hilarious seeing them back pedal!
Is that a stipulation of voting leave?Official MR B fan club,dont go............................0 -
When you leave home you leave home!
You don't say you will only go if you can still get fed at home, bring your washing home, sleep at home, get handouts from home.
I sometimes think that if humanity had the approach we seem to have to Brexit we would still being living under trees cowering from predators.
We would not have discovered fire, gone into caves, gone to other planets, dug the earth for minerals, coal etc. We would still be eating grass!
You stand on your own 2 feet and face the challenges.0 -

The country will not collapse if we leave without a deal - and as a bonus we'll be £39 billion PLUS better off. That should go a long way towards solving whatever minor difficulties a no deal Brexit might cause.
A question though: if the EU is really so good, WHY can't we just leave and WHY could it be problematic? We don't have such problems with anybody else we trade with so to me it looks like all the supposed problems we might have are the fault of the EU.
Switzerland take note.
Remember what the scaremongers remainers were saying during the campaign ?.
Back in the que, vote of the lifetime, Great Britain will become little Britain, well well much worse doomsday.
Well did most people scare ?? It scares those who just see the short time benefit.
Remember who said that ???. Most of them are very well known politicians economists, They should be ashamed by now.
How much taxpayers money have been wasted to persuade people to remain during the champaign ??
Losing friends, are they truly friends ???. Hopefully those who said EU countries are friends (many of them are hardcore remoaners, politicians), will find friends as such in their real life. Betrayers who just consider you as a friend as long as you keep paying and become the second net largest financial contributors that could be used to subsidize the one you consider as friends. I think those who said that is already quiet by now.0 -

I propose those who wanted to stay in the EU to pay for the membership fee a special tax taken out from their own pocket including EUR39bil divorce fee and EUR9 bil pa membership fee.
If it is inevitable and can not be controlled it should allow freeriders. How does it sound ???  :eek:0 -
Well those that wanted a second referendum have finally come to their senses, probably realising theres no appetite for it either in the country or Parliament..
Plans to vote on a second referendum have been dropped..."I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like his passengers."0
