I politely suggest that you look up an English dictionary definition of "riposte" before making yourself look any more foolish.Zero_Gravitas wrote: »Are you now trying to tell me that you think it was intended seriously? If so, I don’t think I’m the one with language skills issues.
The following may be of assistance to your obvious issues:
https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/riposteA quick, clever reply to an insult or criticism.
I don't and neither would any other person with above the most-basic comprehension I suspect.
In other words - you made it up.
Now that is clear you might understand (though given your deceit so far I am sceptical) that what I really say is "It's a funny answer to remain lies".Zero_Gravitas wrote: »And when you start calling out leave lies, rather than trying to justify them, then I might start to agree with you.
Why?
Because you were caught out in your own deception, see above.
It's really no use saying you will "call people out" for deceit when it is clear that you are the one attempting such deceit.Zero_Gravitas wrote: »In the meantime, I think our little spat has occupied too much of this thread today, so I shall leave you to it.
There is already enough deceit in this thread without your adding further to it.0 -
But it wasn't quick, clever or in reply to anything. Nor amusing actually.
I think most people would assume that something defended as an 'amusing riposte' was an attempt at humour, but I think we can move on.0 -

P.S. While you answer we will pretend that we all do not know that you idiots have not got a clue.

You can feed snippets from the post to people you meet, and it is surprising how many will accept what is said though.
Regardless of the veracity, I think this reflects a general level of mistrust about the EU intentions longer term.
I argued that a senior EU figure should have been on the Remain podium during the referendum, ready to answer any difficult questions....straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.0 -
That's have been jumped on as the EU interfering with a sovereign state.0

Remainers like dishing it out but can't take getting it back.0 -
After yet another remainer attempt at distorting what was really said to further their own bias I think you should because to me it just looks like remainers don't like their own tactics being used on them - which surprises no-one I should imagine.
Remainers like dishing it out but can't take getting it back.
Can you point out where I'm wrong or distorting facts?0 -

Not by floating voters or anyone who had any chance of being persuaded to change their vote. So what does it matter?
Nobody who had any chance of voting Remain would have thought there was anything wrong with an EU official explaining why the UK should remain in the EU.
If they didn't object to the vast amounts of taxpayers' money pumped into the Remain campaign, they were hardly likely to object to a figure from Brussels answering some questions.0 -

I didn't like British politicians speaking by proxy, on behalf of the EU.
They were hardly selling a compelling proposition.
I have problems with what someone like Verhofstadt is pushing, but there isn't much doubt he believes in the project with a passion. Does PM May believe in it? What about Corbyn? I have my doubts.0 -

Even better to watch them splutter when you start asking questions about the WTO. Even simple ones like "What's the name of the bloke in charge?" "Where's the head offices?" What do you think of the Most Favoured Nation clause?" It's hilarious seeing them back pedal!0
