  • Unrequieted love is extremely painful, but you can't ''make'' someone love you, as much as you actually love them. I'm sure the right man will come along in due course :)

Why is it worse in Jan?

You'd have given him his Christmas presents and wasted money. At least this way, you can send them back or give them to someone else.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. X

Nothing wrong with being sad about it. Think about your friend today and not about him. Hope you feel a bit brighter soon.

Accept he will not be able to tell you why - people tend not to recognise anything that paints them not In the light they want to see themselves.
Find something else new and interesting.
Hope recovery will not take long
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

That much is very true imo.

One of the things that has struck me as I get older is that I wonder if there is literally anyone at all on the planet that is "completely known" by even one other person. The older one gets too - then the more it is the case that there are things one simply won't tell more than a handful of people/maybe won't tell anyone at all anyway.

The vast majority of people can't (or don't want to) look at themselves from an objective outsider viewpoint and very often don't know what motivates them to do/not do things.
