    Thanks All

I was in such a rush this am that I got the totals wrong :o Our debt now stands at the grand figure of £9990 which is still sub £10k and which I am delighted about.

Feels like this mill stone we've been carry for the past 18 months is finally loosing (mixed metaphors but you know what I mean).

Next months target will be to clear the Halifax card (leaving only 2 remaining) and getting the debt total to near the £8k mark

    Got to try!

Thanks all - it does actually feel very liberating to be under this milestone. I can remember being sub £30k and £20k and what that felt like. Being sub £10k feels so lovely. As I've said before though we so can't take our eye off the ball otherwise even after 18 months of DFW we could loose the plot. Hopefully my vice like control of the finances will win through.

Not much Dbusting will happen this month, either before or post holiday. So July's payday will see us paying off the regular amount of debt and clearing the Halifax card. Holiday spending will go off the Barclaycard (now nil :D) and will be paid off from the holiday fund on our return. Last year I even kept a spending diary on holiday (and Yes I will do this year). I'm sure our budget will be pushed but its so got to be done.

Sitting in the garden tonight with OH having a sub £10k celebratratory glass of wine and reading through my prof mag (yawn) when I spotted a job (always start from the back) local, next level up, same sector (public) paying 30% more! I've been on line and read the JD and I've so got to apply not only for the challenge but 30% more net income is not to be sniffed at.

So to add to an already ridiculous list of things which need doing before the kids break up I've now got to craft a fantastic application.....I so do like a challenge.

I had a great day today on my DS1's school trip. I've not done a trip before because I always had one of the DS's not at school. This time DS1 begged me and I foolishly said yes. It was a cracking day, and a lovely trip and I managed to supress the "i could be doing etc etc etc". Back at work tomorrow but a fairly quiest weekend although still a massive list of to do's to do...
