You're so right CG that mid month feeling does come around the 2nd when all the payments have gone out . It just feels such a long way still to payday again....only 5 to go to be DF which really must be smiled about.

Unbelievably if we do it on track we have done it in 2 years from when the lightbulb came on fully. It did take a good 4/5 months to get started during which time we just managed to make min payments :o.

All very quiet on the MBing front. I've about £400 in my MB account now, I've taken £70 out for some wine :o and the £100 via Quidco has gone off the debt. I'm thinking of taking £200 out to pay off the debt and leave the rest for the kitty to start again in September when the home footie season starts up again. Trouble is that its nice having the little fund of money there but this debt needs busting....

Sounds like a plan to me :) Get it paid of that debt you will soon recoup on the footie!

We are in a mess at the minute! Lawn mower bust at the weekend so £80 there, DS1 has broken his bed Grrrrr! Practising his wrestling moves haha! He's 14 and alread 5'10" so we are looking at a small double divan for him so he can keep on growing and finally , remember how you felt with your conservatory furniture? Well i'm talking dining suites! All in all i'm looking at £2k! I do have some money saved and an insurance due this month so about £1300 available and the rest will come out of the debt payment pot. I'm using quidco to try and get a little back but typically the dining suite store is not on Quidco! So my debt won't be going down as fast but I will feel happy knowing my house is getting sorted! Sorry for long post it just helps my head to get it down and in the public domain, it sort of proves to me it can work :)

Im off today and am going to rescue my drowned lettuce and get them in pots where I can move them round the garden :)

Keep at it, only 5 to go! woop woop! cgx

No apologies for the long post....mine are always way too long!

Bad news about the mower and bed. These things go don't they but always when you can least do without it.

I can remember how i felt about the conservatory furniture. Very very guilty but it was lovely to be buying something nice for the house after a long time with nothing....and since as well. That money would have gone off the debt but the debt is still getting paid off and although it would have brought us a little further forward we've really enjoyed having it there to use. I don't really recall the guilt now and it certainly wasn't on the scale of when we bought expensive things on CC before without giving it a second thought how we'd pay it off - now that is proper guilt. So in my long winded way I'm saying if you've planned it, go for it and the debt will be busted!!

Thanks for that skcollobcat10. Its a hard old slog but its got to be done I guess. We've been lucky in so much as we've managed to keep our heads above water and now we've got a bit more breathing space.

Definately counting down to being DF which will be just under 2 years from the start of this debt busting journey.

Having a little trouble with ebay someone has copied my piccie and text from one of my items....very frustrating! I've reported them but I'm trying to ascertain if they are linked with the very item that I've just sold!

Need to face doing my tax return for MSing.....I won't get that done before my holidays thats for sure....

Glad another week is done, its been a long one. 5 paydays and counting :D

:cool:Just noticed I've got 3 stars - :T - that must mean I spend too long on the PC.

Just plodding on until payday at present...not quite counting the hours but not far off. £60 due from Quidco, £35 from TCB, and another £30 yet to track in Quidco but I can't yet log it as a query - I will though:p.

Got to get loads of things done before holiday. Tax return is the job for this week! Mind you i might need to wade through a small mountain of filing first :rotfl:Wish me luck

:DDay off today and the sun is shinning. Spent most of the day in school doing 'stuff' which had to be done. The result was that I missed the timeslot for a MS I had (£15 gone!). Thats the way it goes sometimes I guess....

Just paid £200 off the target Halifax Card :T and this was from MBing money. So I was pleased with this. This brings the balance down to £1.8k before June payment goes on at the end of the week which will bring the balance down on this card to £600 next month. More importantly this will bring us under the £10k marker at the end of the month! Thats nearly 70% of our debt gone!

Boy am I looking forward to payday this month!

Once the Halifax card is cleared we are left with two at 0%

I've still got a few bits of money here and there and quite a lot to come in from Quidco et al. All of which will either go off the debt or will be a buffer on the budget if needed.

Hopefully my budgets will get a chance to catch up when we are on holiday - food budget particularly!! :o

I've not quite faced up to doing my tax return yet this week ...........it may or may not get done.....just getting myself organised for it at present!

Well down. Meant to say well done but both are good! I'm sure the debt will tumble once it's under 10k and all on 0%.

Thanks Verbatim. Its a bit scary really the £10k target is one that is really going to hit home and having it all at 0% as well. Getting under the £5k line will be the next one which should be in August but before if I've anything to do with it all.
