Thanks Compingirl.
Mine are a bit younger than yours so they do need some entertaining. I might be able to stretch to the pictures in the week but I'm playing it low key and hoping the weather improves so we can get outside.
Sold a few bits on ebay that I really wasn't expecting too so thats another £53 winging its way to the debt fund. Mind you I've got to move £50 into the school trip fund (last time though!). When all the MS money comes in I should be able to pay £100 off the IF card (now the target) next week. That what motivates me paying off the debts.
I'm going to have a real effort at listing again this week - I'm over my dodgy buyers now - since I've got no choice but to keep on plugging away at it.
Hope the braces went OK with your youngest. Can't be fun at first  .
OH hasn't got anywhere on chosing a new DW so thats down to me.
Going to be a busy week I feel.
PS My motivation is back on the increase now as I knew it would be eventually - thanks for all the support all :TWorking Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -

Target CC is the IF with the current balance of £1956. With a lot of hard work I would hope to get this cleared in March i.e. with Feb and Mar's paydays. Sooner if I can drum up enough money.
Just checking through finances and wondering why the first loan payment for OH's car loans hasn't come through. GOt the paperwork out to check and eventually ID he's put the wrong account number on the DD. Whoops I hope that doesn't mean we've got a DD returned? Need to phone the bank first thing in the morning!!! OK sorted out the loan payment with the loan company. However got my OH's bank statement through this am and we've been charged a £38 unpaid item charge  . This is the first time in our lives we've got a charge like this and to say I'm angry is putting it mildly:mad:   . What can I do though - feels like a kick in the teeth and has wiped out the cash I got from ebay sales last night. Boy is this DF game about ups and downs!!!Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0

Grrr indeed, I hate it when things like that happen.
Beanie thanks, ds braces are settling already, hes got blocks in for the first 6 months to bring his lower jaw forward then he gets the fixed braces for 18 months after. Bless, he is being brave, he can't shut his mouth properly and its a very soft diet at first - we're talking pot noodles, scrambled eggs and pasta! as he can't chew and won't eat soup! I'm just glad its half term.
But it will be worth it in the end - he's currently got a set of teeth that would let him eat an apple through a letterbox lol! so braces couldn't come quick enough for him as he gets teased at school. That sounds so cruel but its just to set the picture! I think he's gorgeous just the way he is.
I've just picked up another couple of MS. I'm loving them, can't believe i've only just cottoned on to them. Finally, a bit of advice please, My 0% card has finished now and ive got £1500 left on it, my OH has a 0% which finishes in Nov 09 and we've had a BT invite from them at 2.5% Should I :
1. Do the BT which will cost me about £37 or
2. Try and pay the £1500 off ASAP, interest is etimated at £20 this month. I reckon I can pay this off by May/June all things permittingy.
I know it seems a no brainer doh option 1! but if I do a BT I might lose my incentive to pay the extra each month, and I want to apply for a new 0% deal for OH as one of our 0% biggies is up next month and I don't want it to affect his credit rating - advice please! cgxCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -
Might be best to go for option 2 then CG.

Ooh meant to say sorry about the charge WH DFW.
You could always ask them to waive it.Nothing ventured nothing gained.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Thanks all - so do I!!!!
Sounds like the difficulties with the braces will be worth it in the end Compingirl.
Ref the BT option. Am I correct in thinking that if you BT it to your OH's card you wouldn't be reducing the debt on the £1500 bit since the card would allocate the monthly repayments to the 0% bit first? I could be wrong though since its down to how they allocate payments.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Decided to have a go at reclaiming some credit card charges. We've not really suffered too much with this so its only really small amounts (ignoring my recent post). One particular card (IF - now the target card) its payment date was a little early and occasionally the payments would be a day late, literally. I've just gone through the statements I've still got and I've got £48 of charges all during 2007 just as our LB was coming on! I never really wanted to tackle this whilst the balance was high and we had no other options since I didn't want to be faced with OK here's a refund but now close your account. So now that its on its way to being cleared (next month
). I'm going to have a go at claiming:o

You do that, its great when the boot is on the other foot, you might get lucky and it would be £48 towards the next card/school trip/clothes fund!
The 1500 would be added to the 4500 on that card and would all be 0% till Nov this year, I currently pay £25 on 1 and £130 on 2 so would increase the dd to 155 so should be back down to 4600 by the time the 0% is up plus i will overpay on this one as much as I can. The BT offer is only valid to end of March.
What i'm worried about is if I BT now will it affect an application for a new 0% I will be making for OH in March? This one is for 7000 so I don't want to risk affecting that one.
Oh what a tangled web we weave! I'll be glad when its all sorted!
Good luck with your charges.CC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0
