  • Two steps forward and one back and all that.

I've just been out in the car and it's making a very expensive sounding noise  . I'll see what tomorrow brings!

  • Ouch - that sounds expensive L

we'll see how it goes - I need to check how much is in the car fund. Trouble is that a big bill on OH car (yes the one he is now selling!) has left the fund depleted and my car tax in due next month and insurance in Jan.....I'm not thinking about it!

  • Ok - sigh of relief - my car did have a 'bit' broken as I thought but nothing too major - it was still driveable. So its going in tomorrow to be fixed. I'm sure it will still be costly but its not as bad as it could have been....which is good news:rolleyes:

Thank goodness it was not too much of a big problem. A sigh of relief indeed!

  • Well £250 later - not good!!!

With cars why does something simple turn out to be more complicated and more expensive than you expect...

Great when I've the car tax next month and the insurance in Jan..lets hope there is enough in the car fund account to cover everything :p

ouch! I know how you feel - I have been a good DFW and putting my £50 a month away for car "stuff" so that when the tax etc comes in, I don't have that shock/panic/need to use a credit card......but this month I took the money out of that account to use for other things.

Of course, the following day, my tax reminder comes through the post

Ah well, the intention was there :o
